I went out tonight and run a 1/4 mile on the dashhawk just to see what it would do. The results?

12.77@107.5

This is a vast improvement over the results in St. Louis, pulling the ABS fuse is making a huge difference.

Now to get to the track and get an official time slip.

I did run an iEMS3 datalog, so I can go back and check the time stamp on it as well.

Looks like we are going to get that 12 second slip pretty quick!

The fuse took off a second for you. WOW!

I am looking for is a .2 tenth reduction. lol

That Jeep had it in it to put down those times!

That's more like what the Jeep should be capable of :)
Tim, did you read my post in the other thread re the fuse?

Man what a difference, that thing was pulling like all get out right off the line. I wasn't that familiar with how the dashhawk worked, so didn't get to fully load it before launching.

I could really feel it pulling in third gear (well actually all of them), but the reduction of time on the front end let me get more time to wind out in third where I am pulling 8 psi.

Right now I am running a progressive setting, 4psi in 1st, 6 psi in 2nd, and 8 psi in 3rd.

Absolutely NO knock retard either!

Were cooking now!

Time slips :D I pulled 12.42@111MPH There is no way this things are accurate my best time ever at the track was 12.8 , but by that Dashhawk number you should be just about braking 12's . How much HP you putting at the wheels ?

Yes that's more like it, but it is a single turbo, not a twin. I see no reason for a twin, I have 0 lag, I can launch in boost by brake torquing, even from an idle it is in instant boost!

Twins are far more expensive and a lot harder to control and you never know for sure if they are both producing equal results.

I am running a T4/T4 T-70, but could direct bolt on a T4/T4 T-76 if needed.

Oh, beleive me, it is. All you need is to be in the passenger seat for one launch, and you will never be the same. The G-Force off the line is very hard to describe, you have to experience it.

The best part, our system integrates so well withthe factory systems, it is almost seamless, other than the performance increase, it behaves and drives like it was from the factory. I even drive it as such, and don't have any worries about driving it in part throttle boost.

I am still running MDS, don't have anything turned off or modified in the factory tune, my remote start works, and I get a couple MPG better on the hwy and about 1 MPG better around town in mixed driving.

(in the voice of the Extenze commercial actor) ......ahh, and that increase in power? Yeah that was fun to............

Sweet News Tim, Congrats!

Would you say this removed the torque management issue and what fuse are we talking about? Are you using the Autostick and is Tow/Haul on or off?

Yesterday I was turning onto a side street right at a corner on a main road with a blindspot (poor road planning/tricky corner to turn on to say the least). I was going maybe 5-8 mph and I see some moron flying up fast as I am already in mid-turn...I'm like oh S**t and stomp it. Then.....

For those that are wondering Yes my Jeep will drift/spin all 4 as I found out rather quickly yesterday to my surprise!

Awesome setup Tim thank you...and Ryan I think you need to get one too!

Drifting may have been to harsh of a word...It implies more than what really happened.

Let me rephrase it a little bit... I broke all 4 wheels loose as I was turning and it went sideways. I didn't have time to even think about it or run it out to see (neither really i just counter steered and then pointed her straight as I let off), I was more concerned with getting hit!

I have been trying to baby the trans (till I get my Stage 3 in and my new rims so no hole shots yet) This is the first time I have stepped on it all the way going that slow, yup it wakes up really quick that's for sure.

When are you hitting the track ?

As soon as I can find one open. It is cold and rainy this week, Milan Mi was closed yesterday because of the weather, hoping to get down to Norwalk Friday afternoon.

After Friday Norwalk closes, and then I will have to go to Milan Mi as it will be the only one open. They close mid November.

As far as I can tell, it has everything turned off. When the fuse is pulled, you get the ESP, BAS, and ABS lights on the dash. This means they are non functional.

I have been driving around for the last couple days with the fuse pulled, if not for the lights, can't tell a difference in normal driving.

I was in "D", leave the Tow/Haul button alone. I have to go back and try it in "5" versus "D" to see if there is any difference.

Your best times will come by letting the computer shift rather than trying to hit the exact point. Also, one time I had it in 1st and nailed it, I swear it did not have auto upshift because I hit the rev limiter and fuel cut.

Since then, I use "D" or "5" and let it shift itself.

In the 05, the ABS fuse is in Cavity 4, look in the back of your owners manual in the fuse listing, and look through the list till you find a fuse for the "ABS PUMP", not the ABS valves. This should be a pink 30 amp fuse.

In later years, it is in cavity 17. You are in the fuse box under the hood closest to the firewall.

Please don't think I am harping, but, those 31" BFG's are just bad news, I know you are trying to get rid of them, but they need to go away for good. If you are going to run a winter tire, put the correct size tires on the 17' rims.

In looking over the DTC diagnostics section (I must have been really bored as I was reading DTC fault descriptions), I found numerous referrences to engine/drivetrain issues where tire diameter was a direct contributor, yet the codes don't really mention anything to do with tire diameter.

Running the wrong tire size without correcting for the diameter in the vehicle programming can lead to all sorts of "issues" that may or may not be directly attributable to the diameter issue.

No worries Tim,

I should have a full set of OEM SRT8 rims/tires soon (9's and 10's)...thinking of getting some Black Factory Repo's and running a winter tire on those as the BFG's that are on it are the smallest ones for the 17's.

Once setup in the right tire dia. range the Stock rims and BFG's will be up for sale...I'm sure someone will want them.

Good info on the fuse and in looking through the Service Manual I have found that it is possible to install paddle shifters :D on our WK's as we also have 2 spots open in our steering control module...Looks like I'll be doing this mod this winter.
