Curious question here. If you are able to have the maintenance records, what is the maximum safest mileage to purchase a SRT8? Loaded question, I know, but am interested in the long range reliability of an SRT8? If maintenance is up to date and compression/leakdown tests are good, where do we draw the line? I see SRT8 vehicles with 100K+ for barely over 18K. Should we run the other way or ??? Thanks for all of your inputs.

Even with maintenance records it could have been driven hard and beat on.
As long as the body, electrical and interior are fine at 18K I'd snatch it up and drive it till it died. Then 392, paramount trans and a Stage 6 turbo.

I'm hoping I can find one that was garage kept. A friend of mine sold her 300 SRT that was garage kept.

Just depends on how the previous owner took care of it (maintenance). Harrison, Stage 6, has 9x,xxx on his rig. Not sure how many miles he has on it with the turbo, but im sure he didnt baby it one day since he owned it....lol. And its still running strong.
Maybe he will chime in.

Im not a fan of steel blue, but i would overcome that for that deal. I would jump on that deal because it is at least $5 grand less than any others i have seen for an srt

100k miles is not "garage kept". Lol. They might have parked it in a garage.

yeah i think im going to get it, i really love the color because they didnt produce to many of these so its rare to see. Its also from a dealer that is 65 years old..so i can trust them. They originally owned the car when it had 10 miles and the original owner sold it back to them. Shows trust

go for it! Search "Downstate" for his steel blue SRT. Just the mileage might concern me a bit.
