Thanks Jeremy!! :D
The only time you can tell Paul, is if its under fluorescent/halogen light, you can tell there are some fine scratches and light swirls in the clear coat...a light paint correction will get rid of that...which is what I want...lol! But I have to get the pads and products first....so it might be a while...hehe..
One of my favorite WJ's. Love the truck Hannes!!!!!

this is the reason i love the WJs.. they are so damn good looking!! especially when they're done right.. like yours
on my stock head lights i have the bottom where the signals are tinted and it looked pretty sweet, not i have the gen 3's in and it isnt and i dont like it as much, so i wanna tint them again, but yours look like the stock housing, i forgot, did you put the stock housing on the gen 3's?
dreamer1213
06-07-2009, 07:59 PM
Thanks Tom!! The exhaust is one the "best" mods...LOL!!
Thanks Marcus!! Appreciate it!
Thank you Andrew...means a lot! I think it would look great if you tinted that bottom part like your stockers were tinted....my gen 3 housings has the stock lens on them, thats how I got to keep the turn signal like that..thats why I love em so much...they look stock.... :D

The wheels look great on that thing! I love WJs but one thing I always felt is the track is too narrow for the body. The SRT wheels widen the track nicely.
Looks real good!

Thanks a lot! I think so too..
The track is too narrow on just about anything with stock wheels, unless they are performance wheels...but yeah....these wheels has the perfect offset to make them be flush with the fender, and give it an awesome stance. :D

I need to get with all of you Jax area guys for Gainesville info. Perhaps one day I can get down there myself to see what my old, decrepit 5.9L runs! Just gotta make sure it's when I don't have my son with me. Don't think his momma would like him going to the dragstrip with dear ol' dad!

Here the are...just for you Ryan!
Lows only - 6000K
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m174/hannes13/Projector%20Project/CIMG4656.jpg
Fogs only - 6000K
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m174/hannes13/Projector%20Project/CIMG4655.jpg
Lows and fogs - 6000K
http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m174/hannes13/Projector%20Project/CIMG4654.jpg
As you can see...the fogs looks bluer than the lows....reason is, the bulbs aren't from the same seller...so I guess they are not the same make.....the seller where I got the lows from did have only bulbs for sale when I bought them....so I had to get them elsewhere..so the moral of this story is...get everything from the same guy/store...lol....hope this helps... :)
And here my Jeep Bro's....is the video of the good ol' Flowmaster Super 40 back on my Jeep...I love it....its the best its ever sounded...and this is the way its gonna sound from now on and forever....I'm done experimenting with exhaust!!

Yeah Scottie...the headlights do...and so do the fogs...on the road tho..the fogs edges on 8000K...but oh well...I'm aint takin them out again....lol!

YOu get a pat on the back for those pics.. I see what you're talking about, you better match up those lights soon!
So you think it's because of the different manufacturers or possibly one set of bulbs is older than the other?
dreamer1213
06-13-2009, 05:40 AM
Thanks Chris! Healthy exhaust = happy driver! :) Did you end up selling your WJ?
Aww..thanks Ryan....it could be age...I use the lows more than fogs...don't really need the fogs with the projectors....but I think...that the make has something to do with it too...

did you read the dumbass coments on your dyno video at streetfire. Lmao
Hannes your jeep is just beautiful! my favorite WJ !!!
I just think you need one more thing... Have you thought of getting the clear fogs like mine and painting the inside black?
Also how did you connect the wires so that the leds are on with you parking lights?
I couldnt figure it out
dreamer1213
06-15-2009, 02:49 PM
Ya know what Chris...I wish I knew you were selling it...I would have bought it!!! :D
Hector! Thank you! I really appreciate that...
I have thought about the clear fogs before...I actually bought them once upon a time...and didn't like the quality...unless they've changed it since them....I think I'm ok with stock fogs...lol..if you paint in the inside of the fogs housing black...no light will shine out...LOL!!
To connect the LED's...you run to the park light wires...which in the middle bulb....white to black with a red stripe, and black to black. That should do it!
haha well what i ment was they grey part in them to be painted black not the chrome... i'm thinking about doing it... and as for quality you could just take off the cover and put it on ther originals... kinda what u did with your headlights...
Thanks for your help!!! Lets see if i can do it lol
mon_21
06-15-2009, 05:14 PM
"you can do it" - rob schneider
hahaha ^^^ but i couldn't
I have the halos to the parking lights and i didnt know what to do... and i also wanted to have them as my signal like i do...
dreamer1213
06-16-2009, 06:54 PM
I'll have to think about it...LOL!!
To have the halos/leds to work as a turn signal....connect them to the side marker wires....white and red to green, and black to black...
lol cool
i might try to do that to my fog lights tomorrow... if i have some paint laying around... so you can get a better idea on what it would look like and mybe it will look good on mine too lol
Hannes is it possible to just connect the leds as my parking and signal lights?
dreamer1213
06-17-2009, 03:33 AM
Yup....you sure can...just connect their wires to the side marker's wires....white to green, and black to black...
Ok....you experiment with the fogs and I'll tell ya what I think...hehe..
I tried but only my blinkers worked not the parking... i'll just leave it as is cause im tired of messing with it.
Here are those pics of the fog lights. i think they look good...

what's up with the steering shock thing I never under stood them but I see you have a fancey one lol
its just a steering stabilizer. It helps reduce bumps in the steering. he just replaced it with an aftermarket one (prolly rancho or skyjacker) and it has a fancy red boot on it, (that actually makes it rot out faster by trapping in water.

Ive had the alignment done 3 times lol but it wasnt shaking till now when i was told i needed a balance because of my ABS light and i got the balance and now my steering wheel shakes once in a while around 45mph
Dylans3960ccs
06-17-2009, 06:35 PM
Well the important thing is that now it's fixed. I was think about adding one of these ever since I looked under neath my jeep but never knew what it did . . . . wait . . . what exactally does it do? lol
scjeep4.7HO
06-17-2009, 06:43 PM
Just like it's name states. "STEERING STABALIZER". It helps your steering absorb shock/vibrations so you don't feel it in the steering wheel.
Also helps with bump steer ETC..

AFAIK, they have 2 ribs on the sides.
I looked on car domain right now and all 2004 that are overland only have 1... except for 1 but i dont think he put the right year cause his front bumper looked like from an 03 or 02

this picture is of one Brabus/Startech moded and those rims are very expensive (http://www.startech.de/Preisliste_Pricelist_JEEP_Grand_Cherokee_Lo_2008-08.pdf I think you should be able to find them here) and you can order the parts Startech makes at your dealer.

That pic you posted was from a 2004 Overland Export model...2004 Overland's looked like that...even the domestic models...only 1 rib, and a chrome strip...IMHO...I don't really like that chrome strip there...and the 1 rib is kinda outta place.....
Those wheels are from StarTech like Dylan said...and they are lotsa money....lol!

Ummm...may be...lol....the only way I really liked the projectors was the way I did made them look. Problem is...opening up a headlight and getting it to seal perfect again is "rare" I guess...I did everything right...even ran silicone around the edges...and they still fogged up...
I am running some black with clear turn signal stockers...don't be mad Will...it doesn't looks that bad...

hmmm...I hated, I mean Hated my stock light output. I only had halogen bulbs in there because I didnt want to blind anyone with HIDs. But after these projectors nothing would make me go back to stock reflectors haha.

After seeing Hannes Jeep in person, I can honestly say it is just as clean as in the pics. It's not a Jeep, it's a work of art!

Ummm....sorry to let you down Will...but its not the daul side exits anymore....I had some problems with the way to pipe ran and people burning their legs on the tips....lol...so its now a single rear right side exit....
I can't wait either Paul! Perhaps Friday....lol!

awh You should-a done at least dual out the back.

awh You should-a done at least dual out the back.
 Lets see you snake TWO 2.5" mandrel pipes out the rear. same side or split sides. I'll give you a hint....unless you happen to be Jack Burns, it ain't happenin'.
I got to see Hannes true dual setup in person, and while it certainly looked great, it was not the ideal setup. the drivers side pipe due to space constraints was much longer than the pass side (not the shops fault- it would take ALOT of work to fab up a equal length system for a WJ). I had talked with Hannes about what he should do, and not to toot my own horn, but he was so in awe of my setup that he basically wanted to mimic mine (the only difference being I am running a race cat and he is running no cat). He expressed concern about the unequal length piping, and also people burning their legs on the tips. So in order to fix the leg-burning issue, and to get the sound he was looking for, he wanted to change it up to a 3" mandrel bent single rear exit, just like how mine is set up.

Yeahhhhh....I had pipes out the rear before...it was the first set-up I ran...the drivers side pipe was sooo ugly and squished to get by the sway bar and shock it was actually a waste to have it there....
Bottom line is...a WJ was never really made to run a dual set-up...any Jeep for that matter, the SRT8 and clones being the exception.
Soo...Ryan is absolutely right...it would take A LOT of work and money to get it to be perfect...and I've already spent wayyyyyyyyy too much money on exhaust...this is my final change...I think it looks great and sounds amazing....you'll see what I'm talking about when I post that video... ;)

Funny that you say that, i have my pass side dual exit and its getting changed on Sat Oct 19th to my srt semi w/ a trailer hitch setup. I myself stupidly enough have burned my leg on it. So enough is enough and i am going out the back. i will miss it and its amazing sound but oh well it will still sound good when its done.

Well....what muffler are you running with you semi-SRT set-up?
NHWK05
09-05-2009, 06:41 AM
I am keeping the muffler i have now, I dont want it to be quite as loud. Originally i was going to run no muffler and the resonators just like scott did. Its basically a magnaflow muffler, its a straight through design. I can try it in the shop and if its way to quiet or sounds like crap i will either loose the muffler and put in a pipe, or i may chop off the resos. We will see in a few weeks when i get it done.
