I used a AFE stage 2 and a AirAid tube from a 2002 Dodge Dakota 4.7 with a little trimming (It was a bit long in length), sounds good and feels good.
Doesn't matter what intake you have, if it still uses the stock resonator box, you are not getting the full benefit of a CAI.
Noticed a better tone out of my muffler as well, once i have my throttle body polished and ported, it will be a different animal.
Might throw a AirAid throttle body spacers just for the sound.

Took a picture and have a video with a little exhaust video as well.

My somewhat clean engine compartment.

Exhaust video for those wondering what a FM 50 series SUV muffler sounds like. I will have to do another one after cold start, sorry for the bad video.

Maybe sand the airraid off and paint it to match the afe lid. Then it can be a carlos AFE

Looks good, Glad to see it made it to you in 1 peice and in good condition. Its still dark khaki i see. Are you gonna re paint it or leave it the way i painted it?

Thats a great idea with the Air Aid intake tube, much easier then what i originally did and much cleaner.

Thanks guys.

Kyle, it made it in one piece, thank you for the nice packaging.
I will leave it the color it is, maybe someday when i have time and the weather gets better i will paint it.

Nice. I was looking through your photobucket.

I like what you did with your rear bumper. With the reflector lights. Care to share?

Wow that's an old pic! lol that was the "punishment" days!! my step dad is a trucker so i noticed he had some cool reflectors that fit the rear bumper pretty good so i just threw them on, not a big deal really just 3m tape, they look very nice and bright at night.
Figured if it is raised, i would add some safety markers.

Sweet pic. I never noticed that the laredo Wks had black plastic door handles.

I need to connect my air intake sensor, who would be able to make a good extension? or should i just splice it and extend it?

Looks great. Should paint the tubes yourself, would take a day to do and remount. I might do mine tomorrow if I get up early enough. Sand, primer, paint, clear coat and done with it. I only have the K&N CAI that still has the air resinator box on it, does it make a difference with it removed and the pipe going directly to the throttle body? If it does I can fab something up from some parts from homedepot.

Timmy, it makes a huge difference, the K&N with the stock air box resonator thingy basically does nothing for you, just like the AFE kit, thats why we all keep removing that box. You will notice a better throttle response and a better exhaust tone.

you guys should find a dealer with a money back guarantee and order the K&N for the 4.7 and just try it. Your not gonna get any gains or good sound with the resonator box still there.
