I want to pool our knowledge/opinions and come with a helpful post that new WJ owners or new WJ visitors of this site can see about what recommended mods and additions are done by most WJ owners. This is welcome to suggestions and opinions.

Sounds good, It doesn't have to be an in-depth guide, maybe just a list of what most would recommend.
I can think a few off the top of my head:
Addco Rear Sway Bars
K&N FIPK (55 or 77 series)
Bilstein Shocks
Improved Muffler (Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, Corsa, etc.)
Projectors w/ HID headlights

I was thinkin a list too, that way it would be easier for you to add and
combine the info.
A few more: Throttle Body Spacer
Projector Fogs
Lighting Upgrades (Interior and Exterior bulbs, including loadresistors, balasts)

Weathertech floor liners could be a good addition.

Yeah it would, and I'm not a fan of "wings" but the Lund Windjammer looks pretty good on WJ's.
Side and sunroof/moonroof air deflectors
Wheels and tires (Like Startech, SRT, and Pirelli Scorpions)
Chrome, Billet, Carbon Fiber Interior and Exterior upgrades
3rd Brake Lights
Bull guards, rock rails, and nerf bars
Erebuni, Lorinser, and Startech body mods
Performance chips
Best fluids to use and best additives for tranny, oil, and fuel

LED tail lights also not a bad idea.
especially if you are like me and have a bad circuit board in your lights, and they flash half the time. i call them summer lights... summer working... summer not... LOL

TB spacers? RLY?
TB spacers on these things are like drugs....Just say no...

Depends on the vehicle it's on and the set up, TBS on it's own doesn't noticeably produce results

No setup pertinent to a WJ can benefit from a TBS. These arent throttle body injected and the spacers themselves do not make hardly any difference to plenum volume.

Sounds good but you may want to work on sounding like a smarta** sometimes, not everyone is as well informed of Throttle Bodies as yourself.

Its not a smartass post, its a cut and dry answer. I explained that the benefits of a TBS (and there are benefits - but not on these) are not relevant to a WJ, and briefly explained why. Gus is right - but only to a point.
I sometimes post from a smartphone, so of course I'm going to be brief and concise.
IMHO there is no point in discussing something proven to not work, beyond a brief explanation of why they don't work on these. Im all for wasting as little time as possible -both as a poster and end-user -explaining or reading that a given mod just doesnt work, and ____ mod should be done instead.

Alright, I just thought you had a certain tone about you like you sometimes do. No worries though.

He did sound like a smartass, but I understood he wasn't trying to purposely sound like he was being one. Others may not think so because his wording, like he should have left out the "TB spacers? RLY?" part, that made him sound like a smartass. And FlyinRyan is right concerning the WJ. I'm used to using them on vehicles where they do actually make a difference.

Here's a good one for FlyinRyan, he'll probably know more about this stuff. What about other things that people add on, like those Air Intake Maximizers (I've heard those are a total waste of money). You could add what actually works and what is just tossing money down the drain. (For example, my WJ is a 2WD 6 cyl., so any lil bit that actually works, helps lol)

You know, I actually had to look at what an air intake maximizer actually is, lol. I wish I could find a breakdown of what is inside, etc. If it's a series of blades in stages much like the compressor does in a turbofan jet engine, in theory, the end result (assuming it worked like a jet engine) would be additional air velocity, but at the expense of HEAT.
If this were to do what they claim, it would in theory create boost, which would freak the PCM out. Our PCMs can only understand a very, very small amount of positive pressure (as opposed to vacuum).
I'm a pretty open-minded guy , but I'm inclined to say this doesn't work, and probably provides a restriction in the intake.

I know right, I'm amazed at what people put in their vehicles lol. And I agree, it would seem to only work in theory and I think that it would also only freak the PCM out and provide intake restriction.

Just this last weekend I went out for some beers with Nick from AIR RAM and we had a discussion about intake systems. Although he is not formally educated in aerodynamics or airflow-related science (I have a B.S in Aeronautical Science but my degree was mostly based on flight training), he does have alot of experience with experimenting with intakes and he stressed the importance of cold, high-flowing, NON-turbulent air.
We discussed what would happen if you were somehow able to install thin "vanes" in the intake. It would straighten out the intake charge, potentially providing more airflow- more effective airflow- because there is less turbulence. Some people have already done so, anything from honeycomb type screens to more crude designs of thin-wall aluminum to create 3 effective vanes in the intake tube.
Something to think about....

That is something to think about, seems like all the good ideas (and maybe some not so good lol) come from sittin round drinkin a couple beers.

Any ideas on 4x4 snorkels and additional airflow.
In the NT we have a lot of dirt roads and bull dust. The snorkel provides cleaner air intake and helps keep water out of the system.
I've often heard it sucking in air (like a turbo) on my mates toyota.
Do you think there is any benefit to adding one on my WJ?
Would they confuse the PCM any??
Most of the boat ramps I access are bitumen these days, but I still occasion the odd camping spot off road.

I forget where I saw it, but I saw a snorkel for a WJ somewhere on the internet today. I'd say it would benefit when you're off roading, hitting up the mud and water and fording through water. I don't think that it would confuse the PCM.

I don't think anyone has brought up the issue of our front seats frames breaking over time due to the largeness our assets. Of course my current one has not broken yet. But my former WJ (2000) did break and I just okie rigged it at the time. ( Used a small pair of vice gripes to hold the frame together)
But now there is an outfit that makes replacement seat frames. http://www.jeepseatbracket.com/
Also don't forget about the blend doors, there is the Heater Treater and BlenDor fixes for that problem.
