if i got a RR 2.25" lift, and had the SRT8 rep rims,
would i be able to fit 295/55/20's?
295 is wide, but with spacers, would it fit? (front and rear)
i have no problem trimming the "bolt" and the inner fender well

thinking about the new nitto "trail grappler M/T's"
looks like an MT with the manners of an AT... woot
Not sure if it will fir, but the tires look bad ass!

I couldn't see why they wouldn't fit, But they're gonna rub like crazy! ,they're 33's, My 32's rub. But I haven't trimmed the pinch weld nor trimmed the bolt. Sounds like a good setup!

yeah i dont mind getting rid of the pinch weld...
i shall look into it. Maybe they will have new sizes soon

I thought you were talking about lift spacers.. yeah, i am not to familiar with those wheels (backspacing) i would say keep it closer to 265 or 275. ou will need more lift for those tires, my 33's rub a bit at full lock.

I cant wait to see this setup, I also cant wait to hear reviews on the new nitto mt.

ZOMG i have always loved my Super Swamper tires, and here comes an agressive street tire!
the smallest they do for a 20" rim is 35" tho... so far... haha
maybe in the spring when i go to buy the rim/tire combo, they will have 33's and 32's

Those look like they are going to be about as good a tire as the Thorn turds(bthorn birds) Trxus sts, MT crusher or any pro ccrap(pro comp ) tires out there.

really? ... well now im sad.... i was hoping for a good AT/MT like the one i posted earlier.. what makes you say so?
NHWK05

Well, it looks like a thorn bird and thorn birds suck. all the other tires/brands i listed suck and are yuppie tires. 2 theses tires are apparently over 2 years old according to sis.
Personally i am not a fan of tires with the long wide block design like that. I have always had better luck with a small block based tire/MT like the traditional MT tires.
If you want a good, long lasting MT ish tire, that will handel like dream on the road, perform great for weekend wheeling, and look good. (your going to shake your head as you prolly know whats coming your way by now from sis experience) Get the Cooper Discoverer STT.
I had them on my XJ, Will has them on his, My 2 best friends have them as well has tons of other people that have them. i have never heard anyone say anything legit bad about them or a bad review. I love them so much that i am going to put them on my stock Wk thats NOT getting lifted or wheeled just because they are a great tire and look great.
I plan to get a 245/70/17 for my WK as soon as i can afford it and keep my stock wheels instead of getting aftermarket wheels.

Get some BFgoodrich MT's or Goodyear MT/R's and call it a day! if you want a good all around tire, get some Revos or goodyear Silent armours.

The problem with those tires as good as they are on road they have no sipping and dont handle well on road they are loud and they are not good at all in rainy conditions. I have had both of them and after getting the cooper STTs i will never go back. Just because everyone in the world swears by the BFG MT and the MT/R that does not mean they are the best tire for everyone.

i have been using the BFG AT's for years and nothing beats them for on/off road all around all terrain tire.
that will be the next set on my wife's KK
I'm runnig the BFG KM2's on the Mojave and i love them. they are no where near loud but they aren't as good in snowy or wet streets as the AT's but i have quadra drive and ESP so its all good

The BFG AT is an amazing AT tire. For DD use and occasional wheeling its great. The KM2 is supposed to be much improved over the old MT but i have no personal experience with them.
My point is that everyone seems to run the same tires and it gets old because alot of people ahve never tried anything besides what everyone else has. there are so many other amazing and better tires out there.
A big thing to consider is sipping in an MT, The sipping is what gives good traction on wet and rainy roads, slick rock etc. The next thing to think about is tread design. Cheap MTs like the mastercraft courser MT are very harsh treads on a soft compount and they are very loud and wear out fast. There are alot of big name tires that are just like this, mickey thompson tires are guilty of this as well. The Toyo Open country MT is almost identical to the Cooper Stt but its a softer rubber and they dont last as long.
The Cooper Stt, has good looks, great road manners, quieter then most MTs, sipping, great snow traction (had them for 2 winters before selling the jeep they were on) and great in mud/rocks/etc...
All i am saying is try something different.

Oh dont get me wrong, She loves my jeep, and she loved my lifted Xj but she hated the empty wallet, the constant need to be wrenching and spending money and upgrading stuff. It was actually her idea for me to get a WK. I am just happy that i am putting the Cooper STTs on it in a 245/70/17 that will make up for not being able to lift it for now. besides moving out and starting life/family is more important then a lift for my jeep.

eh - i thought about it. but its pointless
i have a CJ7 i want to start rebuilding too once my house is in shape. So to have 3 vehicles going will really kill me.
plus its an 08 w/ over 50k on it. she drives 80 miles a day to work.
My plan right now is to trade it in 2011 for the new GC for her.
but if i can throw 2" on it w/out loosing the ESP - maybe i will. Once it needs tires i'll look into it more.

my dad bought me a set of BFG AT's when i was 18 when i 1st got my CJ and i never looked back.
I dnt have much experience w/ other tires. The think i love the most about the KM2's are how quiet they are on the road. I'm willing to bet they are the quietest MT on the market

LOL, i cant say i dont understand why i should not lift my WK as i am still paying for everything i bought for my lifted XJ, and i dont even own it any more. (credit cards ugh.) i still have about 6 grand to pay off on credit cards on top of other bills/debts/school loans etc so i am not going to bring up lifting it until everything is paid off in a few years.

Yes, They make great tires. The Vativa AT and MT are good tires and the WRG2 is supposed to be a great suv year round all season snow tire.

LOL yea they dont much like that, thank god i have a decent credit score but i still have about $30k plus in debt including my jeep.

haha well i swear by Super Swamper tires... i have always loved them. (minus the thorn turds)
Pro crap is named that for a reason...
and although i dream of the two tires i listed earlier, they really arent practical (or come in the right size) OR under $300 per tire.
I'll probably end up with Revo's or Silent Armors. I love bridgestone and goodyear too.
