Installing factory rear ves

[1 GRAND]

I found the overhead screen that goes on the headliner, and the dvd player that goes on the center console.

What do I need to install these things? Is the Jeep prewired for this stuff? Do I need a new headliner? Are their mounting tabs above the headliner?

you need a mounting bracket(there are two...one for sunroof vehicles and one for vehicles without the sunroof) and two harnesses. One harness runs from the upper screen...down the a pillar to the headunit. the other harness runs from the headunit to the DVD unit in the console. Its all plug and play...the hardest part is dropping the headliner and cutting a hole for the upper screen unit. You can get all the parts from justforjeeps.com

you can get the screen and dvd player cheap on ebay. i think I paid like $125 for the two units, headphones and remote. The brackets and two harnesses can be purchased from j4j's. They could find them quickly. I used to have the part numbers....but theyve been lost after 2 years

nope.....my dvd player in on the back on the console. but one thing I just thought of...is you have an 08. I believe they changed...but not sure to what.

i gotta look at nate's then if he has one. i dont know anyone else with an 08+ that has the dvd player... peter might too in his srt8... dad has 08 aspen and that's what his looks like

The VES units on the 08 and up dont have a seperate dvd player on the back of the consoles like the 05-07 do..They use the head unit in the dash for the signal........
