5" exhaust tips

Fedex delivered my Thermal Research 5" x 8" x 4" exhaust tips today. Tomorrow they will be installed. Pics to follow:

Ohhh...those look great Dan!!! They are gonna look awesome once installed...I like the fact that I can see the turbo in that shot! :D

Don't know if they'll be any change in the sound. I'm doing it for appearance. Anyway, I don't have a muffler or resonators, the turbo handles all that. :D

Finally got my Jeep back late this afternoon and the install is done. The guy was complaining this was the hardest tip job he's done in all his years of experience :lol: He stayed with his original quote though :)

that looooooks soooooooooo sick!!!! audio clips??? did the tips change the sound at all???

I'll have to work on audio clips. I should have done a comparison of a before and after sound of the exhaust tips....I'd like to think they're louder now, but, will never know....:( It's louder than stock anyways.

I only wanted 1" sticking out at the most, instead of 1 3/8". I'll post a pic tomorrow from underneath and how he fabbed it. He told me a couple times about not wanting to cut off anymore pipe coming from the turbo......????

Looking almost straight down, doesn't seem to stick out that far and the sheer size of the tips helps to put it in perspective.

I think he could have cut off a little more pipe coming out of the turbo and it wouldn't be sticking out quite as far......hmmm?

My wife says this afternoon, "Why did you get the bigger exhaust?. That thing sounds more like a tank than it did before!" So there you have it, I don't want to argue with a woman's opinion. :D Unless I disagree :thumbsup:
