I bought a kenwood 12"sub yesterday and I love it, it hits really hard for the price. Now I get to play find that rattle, I have narrowed it down to somewhere behind the plastic panel in the cargo area on the passenger side. My question is, has anyone removed this panel and if so how much of a pain was it? I see there are the two screws on it, I'm sure there are some other clips that hold it in place. Just curious if anyone has any pointers before I take it off. And any tips for how to fix the rattle once I get it off. Thanks!

Floor first... then roof piece... then the 3 screws on the panel (includes the one that holds the hook in place).

That will get you enough space to pull it back (but not off) to see what's rattling.

I would bet it is the rear seat latch.....

When I removed the stock cargo floor I used a thin wooden dowel and shoved mineral wool insulation up under the interior plastics on the sides, craming it way up in there completely filling behind. It got rid of the road noise from the rear fenders and made the plastic solid.

To find exactly where the rattle is coming from hope in the cargo area with the doors closed and radio turned up, listen and feel around to pin point it. I have done that many times when I was soundproofing.
