So I had the factory BA system and wanted the Kicker set-up. I got the speakers, and amp but not the sub. Fast forward a few months and I see Matt's set-up and start drooling....a lot. I just couldn't help myslef any longer, so I got a Sony Explod XM-1S and installed it in the factory false floor area. I ran the high power inputs off the Kicker amp's front d-side speaker output. Install was drama free.

So then I added a Kicker CVR-10 sub in a 3/4 cubic foot box. The box is a little small for the sub, but after some tuning it sounds great. The box also fits perfectly!

I have a grill over the sub now, but no pics.

I love that amp!!!! I wanted to do that and the XM-4S hidden behind the rear panels when I was running active.

Very simple and clean install!!

That looks so clean... what about amp cooling though? That is the only thing that I would hesitate over with putting the amp in the false floor.

I have my amplifier in the same location and have never had any cooling issues (I'm also in the center of FLA). Car audio equipment is built to handle high heat situations.
