seatbelt locking?

i thought seatbelts are supose to lock when brakeing hard... for some strange reason my seatbelts locks when i step on the gas. Anyone else's jeep do that?

no not mine ... switch the battery terminals from positive to negative see if that switches it's polarity lol just messing bro really don't know why it would do that

mine never locked under accleration but it did look when ever it was needed, and sometimes when you were putting it on.

Not lucky, I just dont crash. lol. Im more paranoid of getting stuck in the car from a seatbelt in an accident, plus it has airbags. But dont take it from me, im stuck in my ways and will never wear a selt belt. The only time I ever did is when I was getting pulled over before and slide it on so I wouldnt get a fine for not having it on. If seat belts were so important than why dont buses have them, where they transport little kids around daily to schools and grannys going to Foxwoods?? hmmmm

Dunno, sounds odd to me. I didnt know the selt belt locks were electrical, thought they were mechanical and when yanked on too hard it catches on a gear in there.
