Has anyone purchased a Chrysler Extended warranty for their SRT Jeeps? I've seen the 5/60k for ~$1500 and was wanting to know what everyone else is paying?

I have it for the 5.7 and haven't had to use it yet but remember that it's a limited-coverage warranty (after 36k) so be sure to review what is and isn't covered.

i don't recall what i paid for mine, but they are negotiable in price and you can get it to cover virtually everything. I also generally get a $0 deductible because it's not much more and then I never have to worry about them saying "sorry Mr. G, but we couldn't find the issue, that'll be $100." :)

I paid $2500 for the bumper to bumper to go up to 5 years 75k miles I think. I may be off by a year or 5-10k miles too. I"ll check when I get home. I know I have the lifetime powertrain.

Purchased the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty (Maximum Care) with $100 deductible online at Zeigler Chrysler for $1390, 7yr to 60k miles. So I've got BtB coverage until Feb 2014. I only average ~ 8k miles a year, so I think I'm covered with 26k miles on it now.

they dont automatically give you the powertrain warranty when you purchase a jeep anymore? I know the 04 jeep I got has the basic powertrain warranty up to 36,000 miles then it goes to the powertrain limited warranty untill 70,000 miles or 7 years whichever comes first. I was the second owner so I was able to have that limited warranty transfered to me within the first 30 days of buying the car. It was 150.00 to have it transfered over and I have to pay a 100.00 deductable but it covers a ton of stuff. My water pump recently went bad and that was covered under it, would of cost me like 375-400 without it.

Does Jeep not do this warranty anymore for free when you buy a vehicle new?

actually maybe the first owners had to pay for that powertrain warranty, I know they had everything covered by warranty up to 36,000 miles. I just always thought it was free/part of the deal when you bought a new car.

I know it may be a little late but FYI I purchased one for my wifes '10 GC from chryslerwarrantys dot com which is essentially a dealership in Massachusetts that discounts the original Jeep warranties. My local dealer was too money hungry to discount

Dear Elvis,
Please don't hijack threads..blah blah blah....warning......blah blah blah.... :D

So I purchased the "Extended MaxCare" warranty on my 2009 SRT8 just to have coverage for the 7 yrs since the SRT8 warranty is only for 3/36k. I also allows me to cancel it (if I void it somehow) and the prorated portion is applied to paying down my loan. They quoted me $2800 for it but after some negotiation and incentives, it was $1400.

Late response here. Sorry bro they only allow warranty purchases if you are under 48k. That's with Chrysler. However you can buy aftermarket, which usually the paper that it is written on is only good for wiping your ass with.
