yeah....Paul....I like it much better without the windshield strip. Also...base 4.7 when I got it...so no sunroof. I do have the 08-09 SRT bumper and grill now.

I did mine, at dealer cost 2-years ago it was like $272 per window. There is no way to save the old glass and the only way to remove it is to bust it out. I kid you not. It was a messy, painful process and took a lot of time. Then add another $100+ to have a window shop install the new.

To be honest, I would never mess with it again!

the glass company that removed and installed mine got the old ones out perfect and installed the new ones for $100. I actually sold the old ones to an SRt guy for the murdered thing they do for more than i bought my chrome ones for.....LOL

I had my stock chromes 1/4s pulled out and painted and reinstallled all for $150!! :D No breaking off glass, no buying of new glass :thumbsup:

Scott, i'm curious, if you get your bumpers painted how much did it run you? i was a dealership and asked them for the heck of it and they said $750. of course ill never go to the dealership for it but just wanted to find a ballpark estimate. cant be that high can it?

the 08 front wouldve cost cost $400 with the PPG ceramiclear.....but my shop was nice and did it as a promotion for their shop. The rear with the black in the back louvers cost me $300 with the ceramiclear as well. On average ceramiclear is about $75 extra......

That's quite a transformation not so sure I would have been able to do what you have slooooow process but the end result is absolutely flawless Well done Scott. One of the nicest trucks out their SRT or not who cares I would be proud to own it!!

thanks Chad! I think I was the first...in the forum world anyway....to even try an SRT bumpers on a non-srt. Then justforjeeps helped me with all the mounting hardware. I took a big chance buying all that stuff not knowing if it would fit. No one knew. I do know I was the first to do an SRT exhaust, SRT seats and rear srt bumper. I was the second to do the SRT brembo conversion.

I think it looks amazing...The one thing I would think about doing is painting just the scoops on your hood black to match up with the roof. For some reason that screamed at me when I looked at all these pictures. Either way that Jeep is pure sex and I for one am absolutely jealous and anxious to see what you do to it next.

the main conversion....A LOT less than an SRT! I may have $7k(maybe less) in the conversion including the oem wheels and tires, brembos, SRT suspension, seats(if thats what you mean) But the other stuff(hood, wheels, bloodied, performance, personalization etc.) I wouldve done to an SRT...so i dont see that as part of the conversion.

edit-oh...and I paid $23k for the Jeep.....brand new

Insane Scott! Very inspiring, you were test mule and probably sold like 80-90% of guys out there with clones on the project. Sure got me, amazing how many Mods one can do to these things, they just never seem to stop until literally ever piece of the car is aftermarket or non-oem at least. you need the SRT knuckles, rear adapter plates, brake lines, rotors and calipers

do you mean the EGR problem? If so I removed it with a block off plate and plug on the manifold...then bought a SCT tuner and got a custom tune from hemifever. Thats been a few years ago though.....

no part numbers....you will need a custom milled plate for the 4.7. Any good machine shop can make one for about $20-$40. Then go to airram.com and buy an SCT tuner and hemifever tuning. You can also contact hemifever@aol.com for the tuner and custom tunes. Tell him Scott from JG sent you.

That amber is actually more of a medium or medium-dark. But with the blackness of the light as a whole....it will look black unless it's in the sunlight.

And High temp paint on the high beam reflector.

has to be medium dark...cause they are almost black in the sunlight. Maybe my next set will be inferno......?????? LOL:slapfight:

I pulled it all off, prepped it with bulldog plastic adhesion promotor and high build primer and then had a shop paint and clear it with the same paint they use on the exterior. Still perfect after 4 years.

i thought the intake comes out of the side of the intake res? yours has the whole big intake res off? what model KandN would i need so its long enough to reach all the way to there

nope...all of the 4.7's TB's are on the top back half on the intake manifold. If you remove your entire intake...including the black box...youll see. The TB is on the back side of that box.

in this pic its comming out of the side...so you can either put it in the side? or take take it off and put it where it starts right? how would you find the right length model

thats not the tb...the tb is still on the backside of the box. You will have to buy a K&N intake to lose that box or add some piping to your AFE intake to connect to the TB.

yep, just bought the K&N one. cant wait to get rid of that ugly intake res. thanks for your help bro, cars almost finished just waiting on rims and a few carbon fiber pieces, then ill have a sick build thread! JG has helped me turn my jeep inside out
