Dash install kit.

ok so i bought an install kit for my 99. but now as i look at it, the range that goes through 99 is for just cherokees not grand cherokees. and Grand Cherokees go up to 98. so which one should i use? or should i take it back and buy another one online?

Take it back... It's for a ZJ if you get metra parts you want: 99-6503 or 99-6504 har a small pocket under it.

That's a HUGE year range!! Maybe it will fit, but I doubt it.

What brand is it?

I have the metra 99-6503 trim plate. I actually needed to get the 99-6505 one. I'll let it go if you want it, just pay shipping or I might just ship for nothing. I installed and actually one of the pegs that keeps it straight broke, but I just used the 4 screws that hold it down and it's fine. lemme know. I still have it in Jeep. I might remove tomorrow or later in the week depending on when I get to rewire my headunit

ok guys, went back to walmart tonight and looked for a new dash kit. found what i was looking for! going to exchange it tomorrow!!

FYI ... be careful ...
I just installed a flip out DVD TOUCHSCREEN in my 99'WJ and the correct Shcose kit from walmart had my vehicle model and year listed on it ... but it still did not work ... at first looks right and fits in the opening just fine ... but the tabs on the new bracket dont line up with any of the holes in the dashboard ... ended up going to BestBuy and getting their kit which worked out great ... also seems much better quality, obviously cost more $

I just installed a new one from best buy (23$) inmy jeep cause some scummer jacked my ish. In the index, grand cherokee is NOT listed, but the cherokee is. It fits though, oddly.

yeah after looking at walmart they do have one for the 99 limited. im gonna exchange it tomorrow and get mi ish all hooked up.
