My Future mother in law just bought a 2010 4.7 crew cab 4x4 ram, it had to be ordered but it will be int his week. Since we have horses she has a 2 horse trailer with changing room/storage room. Its total weight is about 7500lbs loaded. Normally her son tows it with his f250 but he is going away for work and she asked me if she bought a truck if id be willing to tow the horse trailer and i said hell yes! The new 4.7 has so much more power then my wks 4.7 so she did not get the hemi. i make a thread with pics when its here.

The only problem with that is that the 5.7 gets better gas mileage than the 4.7 does though.

Not as sexy and delicious as yours but this is my mother in laws new truck. '10, 4.7 V8, 4x4, pw, pl, Cruise, cloth. The only thing that makes it seem like a base model is the wheels and painted bumpers. The inside seems just like the reg SLT model w/o the fancy stuff but the normal accessories and conveniences. IMHO, a nice set of wheels and tires, exhaust and some accessories and this truck would be pretty bas ass.

Little update... I'm right under 3,500 miles as of this morning. Drove it down to Florida for a week, man what an amazing ride. The suspension is a little bit numb for my tastes... I'm waiting for Bilstein to make a shock for the 2010's.

I've averaged just under 17 MPG, my guess around 70% highway, 30% non-highway miles. I'm pleased with that number. Here is the graph from Fuelly - you can tell what trips were highway, which were city, and which were a mix lol.

I'm also waiting for superchips to come out with tuning support for the 2010 so I can run a tune and disable MDS.

Still need to get the front winderz tinted, just haven't had much time - might try and squeeze in tomorrow if there is an available appointment at the tint shop I go to.

Also want to get a Mufflex muffler delete pipe so I can run straight pipe from the cats then just the dual resonators. Here are a couple videos someone posted on DodgeTalk. I really like the sound of resonators + no muffler.

when i was in jersey the other day we saw this red pickup (just as yours) but youd dislike what he did, he put up porshe decals (like 10" tall and 5"wide) where side markers would go. i looked in it (it was being worked on in my friends shop) nothing porshe about it, he threw red pinstrips on the seats- real porshe inspired there- lolz and it was sad he even puts porshe decals on his DODGE truck.:confused:

All done... the tint guy talked me into doing 15% up front instead of 5%. I still got 20% over the factory 18% tinted glass and it is DARK. I really like it.

I'm on the fence about keeping the 15% up front...

Pros:
- Better visability.
- Since the back windows are so dark, the 15% really looks lighter than it is - could provide to be helpful in not catching any flak from cops.


Cons:
- Not as dark = more heat comes in
- Front windows don't match the back... I've never thought that it looked good

I got 20% in the Front and my guy layed another 20% on the Factory Tint in the Rear. Looks off. He kind of messed up on both my front windows, so I'm going back to him to get them re-done and will get them down to 15%.

The new Hemi is great - still not a fan of MDS but I'll be getting a superchips here soon to take care of that. With the 3.92 gears, this truck gets up and goes pretty damn good.... it really doesn't mess around from a roll.

If I was smart I would have worked it in the deal when I bought it, but I didn't think about it until after the fact. The other laramie I was looking at when I bought my truck had a mopar bedliner in it (not a spray-in, just a lay-in) and they marked the truck up $600.

2005, had 70K miles when I traded it. I bought it in October 2008 with 37K miles on it for a hair under $18K. When I traded it in I owed around $14K on it. The three other dealers I went to to look at used F-250's... two said they'd pay it off and one said they'd pay it off and give me an extra grand.

I bought my truck on Friday, they had my Jeep on the lot on Saturday for sale, and it sold that day.

For real, it was the last day of the month in February. The dude that sold me the truck had been working there for 3 months and hadn't sold a new car yet lol. I drove by the dealer every day and they always had the same 10-15 trucks sitting out there, so I knew they weren't really moving inventory but I didn't think they were gonna deal that hard. I wasn't planning on buying anything but with such a good deal I figured why not.

Haven't done much lately... got my dual 10" sealed box installed under the backseat with Alpine Type R's and a Kicker ZX1000.1 amp with the remote bass control - bumps really good, and I love the remote bass so I can turn it up/down at will.

Other than that only other thing I've done is a 14" black shorty antenna.

Here is my next mod though, and they should be there Thursday or Friday and will hopefully get installed on Saturday:

Haha wasn't too bad... a member on DodgeTalk who does this on the side did a group buy. I paid $350 for the retrofit w/ HID kit plus $275 for a core charge on my headlights, but I'll get that back.
