Well gentlemen, a few months ago, one of my Crapstars blew so I said **** it, I'll put in HID's. So I decided to go with Tony's (tcm glx) kit. I got lows and fogs (6000k).

Good to hear... Thats the same combo I have... I swap from 5k to 3k fogs. 3k are nice in the rain. It took me like 2 hours to do both. Fogs were really easy...
Mine is the white to the far left...

The H10 kit is not working for my fogs... the connector that connects the factory wiring to the ballast (the one that you put the two wires into yourself to make the connector) does not fit. The ones supplied with the 9006 kit do work though.

Figured out the H10 I received is really an H11 kit.
It came with H10 bulbs, but connections for an H11 judging by the tags on the connectors to the ballast.

Wow what a long day... my brain was having a hard time functioning after a long day at work - should have waited until this weekend to install everything.
Anyway, got the low beams (5k) installed. Waiting on the harnesses from Tony to get the fogs in. The 5K is AWESOME! Exactly what I wanted.
I didn't get any pics, but I can do a how-to tomorrow.
However I do have a question. For those of you have that HID fogs... where did you mount your ballasts for the fogs?
B.P.O.D
06-19-2009, 06:19 AM
^^^ i mounted mine right behind the grill and infront of hte radiator. there is a metal lip and i put them as far left + right as possible!!! they have been on for a few months and no issues!!! just use extra double sided tape and clean the metal/paint good before you put them on.

Joe- 1. How long did your Crapstars last? I did a set of Ultras about a month ago.
2. Where did you get the HID kit and how much? Something to add to my future mod list.
3. For all of you guys that upgraded the Fog lights. Is it as simple as a super duper bulb or a whole assembly and wiring. And where do i get that? I cant seem to find the right setup.

Cool how did everything work out for you last night? Let me know if you need anything. I'm at work and I have pics here and my cam is in my truck so I can take more pics for ya is you need. How many relay kits did you get? 2 came with mine and one had a longer neg and poz wires for the right (passenger) side for the lows. The fogs were really easy to do. Just the mounting the ballast were a PITA.

Ok so i am totally down to buy some but I am a little confused. Some like the 3K fogs for bad weather; I do not live in an area with bad weather and my main goal is to get brighter, more white/blue light. I do not want to sacrifice visibility in good weather and Joe's 6K lows/fogs looks bright as hell. Is their any benefit to going with 5K lows/fogs? Explain why some of your signatures have 3.5/5K fogs? Do you have both bulbs? The more I talk about this the less I know...do they come with install instructions as I was reading there are two wires that require attention? So basically I read everything in this post, understand it all, but still have no clue WTF My bad guys
I think LTrain threw me off with the H10 H11 missing something...joe do you have different turn signal bulbs? Make/model please, those look very tempting :)

I had brung the relay inside with me. They're not bu the fuses. They are by the aftermarket lighting/led's. I even went to a few auto parts, and electronics stores and they didn't have them.
