Ok guys I'll throw some info about my jeep out there. I will start from the begining.

After I bought it I decided to say screw the warranty and go supercharged.

I spent allot of time on the phone with one of the head techs from STS remote turbo systems trying to get a jeep kit made. Things were taking to long so I decided to get the Paxton kit from KRC. I bought a Deep trans pan and a Trans-GO shift kit since I knew I was going forced induction. I installed the transmission parts before the supercharged came to prepare it for the power I was hoping to make. I installed the Split Second computer with the KRC blower kit and spent some time getting it tuned in. I had to modify everything in the kit to make it fit the jeep. My hood was a solid 2-3" from even thinking about closing. The Spit Second controller did an ok job but I never really liked the piggy back stuff with AUX fuel injectors so I got a BETA SCT in a sense. I spent allot a time working with Sean AKA Hemifever trying to get everything working and we made so many tunes it's not even funny. I had to relocate the battery when I installed the blower then had issues with the stock battery not turning over the engine after everything in the engine bay got hot so I installed an Optima red top battery. I had top move the coolant resevoir along with the TCM and modify the under hood fuse box. I changed the front and rear diff fluid with Royal Purple oil and the transfer case with Valvoline synthetic I believe. I installed a wideband a boost gauge and a D-PIC gauge all from autometer in a 3 guage pillar pod. The next part I put in was a full cat back Magnaflow stainless exhaust. I then went to a 2 BAR MAP setup with 39# Mustang Cobra inectors. I then ran that for awhile before I decided to install a set of cams. I pulled out my stock HO cams and installed some KRC 212X cams. Next in line was a Snow performance methanol injection system that I upgraded to the MAF style progressive controller. After getting that tuned in I installed a 72mm F&B billet throttle body. At some point in here I went from the stock style bosch air recirculating valve and went to a super sequential blow off vavle. More tuning and I decided to get a stall convertor. I made some calls and ordered a EDGE racing billet 3,000 stall convertor. This was the only thing that I paid someone else to do for me and it ripped my heart out. It's a fairly easy job I just couldn't get my jeep high enough to drop the tranny out in my gravel driveway. I ordered a chrome oil catch can that I installed. Then I decided to change my exhaust setup and go to true duals. Cut out the Y merge and went duals back into two 4" round case Magnaflows into 2 rectangular stainless tips exiting before the passenger rear tire. I made a few call and had a custom built smaller pulley for my supercharger and increased my boost. I started having some oil leakage internaly in the blower so I sent it in to Paxton for a rebuild. I pulled my K&N filter off my blower and swapped it for a Spectre stainless mesh racing filter. After running it like that for a few weeks my oil feed line ruptured and sprayed oil all over everything and luckily I didn't loose my engine. Now I have installed an auxillary 10" electric fan Oh and I forgot I have been through 3 different low temp T stats. Today I went ahead and decided to try to change my 2 guage battery cable that runs back to front for a 4/0 cable which is really really fat and I'll throw those pics up after this post like stated above my engine has always given me a little trouble starting afer it gets hot and has been getting worse. so I am hoping this will help that issue and it seems to have helped. Now many of you know I am in the process of building a fully forged 4.7 race motor. I think that is at least most of everything even though I am sure I have forgotten some stuff.

The weight of the 2 gauge wire was so low that I had to get my 5 year old to weigh herself then hold the wire and simple subraction gave me 4.6# on the 2 guage wire. Were the 4/0 is 17#.

Richie... I have to ask you a question... how much side clearance do you have between your rods... From the pictures it looks like you have excessive rod clearance.... Didnt you have the spacer removed off the 4.7L crank... or does your crank still have the divider.

I got the timing set installed, the painted front timing cover, new front main seal, new ATI harmonic dampner, cams, valvetrain and have spun the engine over to make sure it's good.

Tranny should be done this weekend then just transfer case to do.

600+... I saw my clutches. The 2nd gear pack, not 2nd prime, but the actual heavy 2nd gear clutch pack was in rough shape. i was wondering why heavy boost in the top of 2nd was getting a little lacking LOL..... It has all kevlar clutches now, so we will see.

I am waiting for some intake manifold studs I am going to install instead of bolts. have to paint my valve covers, drill and weld my new oil pan with an oil return fitting from my blower. Modify my blower brackets, my rear main seal, flex plate, tq convertor, and tranny. I am waiting to fab up my solid motor mounts and I have some plans for my manifolds. In a few weeks I should be running, oh and I need to figure out about my radiator changes.

I gutted my stock mounts and will either fill it with machined aluminum stock or actually weld up end caps with a pipe for the bolt to pass through.

Thanks guys. I am almost ready to mate these two together. Transfer case will be done tuesday, got a new tranny cooler, need to find out about my radiator and have my motor mounts finished and tranny mount and do the oil return to my pan better then before.

I checked the new intake manifold will clear but the intake elbow wil not on stock engine and it is not going to fit under the hood and is also going to hit the cowl. I am not sure what to do until i get the engine set into the engine bay. It will have new motor mounts which may make it a tad higher too. I have ditched the solid motor mounts for the moment. I will have to make some cuts in the hood and cowl i'm sure.

I see...so you'll pretty much have to cut the holes to make the goodies fit, and then you'll have to fab up a scoop or some kinda cowl on the hood.

I have thought about a scoop or make real nice clean cuts and have the blower piping just poking through the hood like some wicked blown mustangs I have seen. If done right it adds a real punch. Will all depend on how it looks once the holes are cut. If it looks good I may leave it, if it doesn't i'll cover it up with a scoop.

Long ago when I body dropped a yoda I chose to cut a hood bump off an Eagle Talon and welded/glassed it over the cut out in the hood as the throttle body didn't fit after the body drop.

I actually had plans for fully forging my 4.7L and supercharging it, i figured how hard could it be? maybe a custom bracket for the supercharger and a built transmission and transfer case .. and i'd be golden, but after actually seeing you complete the whole process, yeah it's next to impossible. amazing work, still in awe from the thread. can't wait to hear/see this thing in action, you have to put up videos!

I bought a magnetic base and a dial indicator and checked my crankshaft endplay and it checked out good. That was one of the things I have been worried about, but it's behind me know. I have to get my old oil pan supercharger oil return line done a little bit better. I am also going to get my manifolds ceramic coated, and remove my pre cats. Then it's going back in............

OK.... I droped off my manifold to have them ceramic coated. I am going with the black thermal barrier coating. It is not a pretty as the silver ceramic but it can handle higher temps and helps control the temps too so I am going more for function than form...

I've contacted some of my buddies who are very good retired welders. A few shops ( race machine shops) wouldn't touch it. We are gonna cut fill some of the old hole and move it towards the front a little more.

I also picked up my now gutted cat true dual exhaust from the same guy. I cut and gutted them and he welded it back up for me.

Well we have the preliminary mods done to the intake. He ran out of tje particular welding rod he was using and needs to get more. The intake is done after he finishes welding it. I will then bring it back home and smooth it all back out and have it re-ceramic coated.

wrapped my exhaust. The silver looking is already coated and the dark is still wet waiting for it to dry. Not as easy to do as I thought, especially the bends.
