So I want to clean my air filter...I have an AIRAID with the specs/part # below:
Airaid #028-700-458
Universal Cone Air Filter
7'' Base w/Short Flange
4-5/8'' Top
7'' Height
4'' Flange
My question is, can I use my old K&N filter recharger kit on this filter? I also want to know where I can find those little filters everyone is using to eliminate the breather tube accross the engine bay.....
Please recommend a "better" filter if you know if you know of one that has those same specs that I could replace it with (and your reasoning)...thanks in advance

I want the "little" filter and my main air filter to match...so please post pics if you get em and/or links to products that would work. Anybody know the right dimensions of the "little" filter I want to get?
If your filter is a dry filter, you can just use compressed air or vacuum it.

It's not a dry filter...my question is will my K&N filter recharger kit be ok to use on this AIRAID filter? Meaning, is air filter oil and cleaner the same for all oiled filters? Or is there differences b/t K&N and AIRAID that would cause problems if I used the ones cleaning kit on the other??

i dont see any reason why you can't use one oil kit on another brad. call up airraid and ask them. i'm pretty sure you can

I know Amsoil makes the crankcase breather filters if thats what you are looking for bud. What have you heard about the advantages of using one?

I had an airraid filter and I called them to ask the same thing.....you can use the K&N oil and cleaning agent. its the nsame thing they sell for the airraid filters.

Thanks Scott! + rep
jeepster23 - I think the main and probably only benefit is not having a breather-tube run from the intake across engine...

so you're switching to a dry filter? i hear it is hard to clean and re oil these filters. you can't over or under oil them!!!
