i dont know if anyone has done this yet but here it goes. Post up pics/specs on your current system or future plans you have for your stereo. i will start. dont have anything right now but im getting a kicker speaker upgrade (4 door speakers and 2 tweeters) from matt next week. Then over the summer i will hopefully be getting a 1000w 12 or 15 inch rockford fosgate sub running off of the 760w Pioneer amplifier that i currently have. need a new wiring kit as well eventually.

Im getting a new set of Kicker 3.5's for my dash, an SSA DCON 12'' Sub, and I have a kenwood amp laying around, specs are in my sig. The speakers should be here tonight from UPS and the amp kit will be here early next week to get the install going.

I also have kicker 6x9's in the doors, probably the same as Matt sold ya.. theyr pretty decent! I have not done anything with the rear doors, and don't know if I even will.. lol

Well the box was custom made so it fit under my security cover, and I can EASILY pick it up and move it.

If it comes down to it, just go with some shallow mounts. Granted they wont give you the same power but the shallows of my set up will run you like $115 I think at some places.

Check out SonicElectronix for an amp and sub. I only ran with the amp because it gives PLENTY of power and no chance in hell of it over heating. It cost 254 shipped and 2 year warranty. Its a factory refurbish but retail when it came out... 650? 750?

You can easily find something under 200 that'll give you WAY more power than you would need. Just look around. Dont really bother with Crutchfield unless its on clearance or anything. They are usually more expensive than SonicElec or other online retailers.

My whole woofer/amp set up with install cost less than $900. Box + install costed 400.

Im in the middle of planning out my setup im currently runnin a audiobahn sub and amp with a pinoneer deck which is great but i jsut ordered a second matching amp and i need to find out the sub so i can match that. then im going to build a sub box similiar to Matt's original box up against the back seats and build a custome amp rack. ive also been playing with the idea of upgrading to the kicker system but its really pricey

I've got 3 sub woofers, 4 sets of mids, and 2 sets of wide bands. I only hold on to one processor at a time. Raw drivers sell pretty quickly over on DIYMA.

I'm no audiophile but I think it's pretty damn good for a stock system... I haven't looked up speaker sizes yet, but there is a speaker in each door, three in the dash (L, R, and center), and then the two in the roof, and then the 10" powered sub.

I'd like to switch out the 10 for a 12 with a bigger amp for some more boom though.

NEVER I REPEAT NEVER!!!!! BUY FROM THEM... Dude i have a story i could tell about that place. about 750 bucks worth to be exact! i tried to get my bostons thro them and some other goodies. ill just say after 3 months of them promising they were shipping i finally got my money back. but it took 3 months no joke. they kept telling me they where shipping and never did contacted them every day a few times a day nothing ever. they even tried to say it was shippied out and gave me a number that said something was 6 pounds. nothing i order was close to that way more. i have the emails still.... take my advise DONT BUY FROM THEM. if you google maps there address its a postage place even i was ready to take a drive to cali to see wtf was up. wow bad memorys seeing that name made me upset again sorry for the rant. just stay away. google there biz name and look for what people say about them.

Started the deinstall tonight of the kicker system. Downstate and I are gonna be working hard tomorrow to get all the factory stuff deinstalled/new stuff installed. I will take pics as we go along, and then a video once everything is on and kicking.

And the other day I installed my SUB box. Got it from a friend last summer. It's 2 Audiobahn 12s in a ported box along with an Audiobahn amp. I will take some pics in the Jeep when I can. But hear is the box when it was in my last car for now.
