Fuel Gauge Help!!!

so while driving down the highway today my low fuel light game on after i had just filled up. wtf. then the check engine light came on. i pulled the code and it said something about the fuel sensor. the gauge just goes back and forth. full empty full empty.... any body know how to fix this or what it is?

I'm entirely sure but i think we had this problem with our audi, try removing and replacing the gas cap.

The sending unit in the tank may be bad. If so you need to drop the tank and usually the sending unit and pump are one assembly. If you need to drop the tank I would siphin as much gas out as you can or drive it until just about empty cause a full tank is heavy as shit!
