I have long suspected, now I know for sure.
The wheels of the show car has spacers mounted so that it looks better.
The series of car no more, see photos:

could be different wheels on the ring truck too There is a 20" wheel that Milous posted that no one has seen on the 2011 yet

Until now, I've never seen a car outside of the wheels as far as the original show car has. (Excluding racing cars)
The "Inferno" is the best example

the red jeep is tilting in a turn, causing the suspension to move, and the tires to begin to tuck..that is giving the illusion they are "under" the jeep..if thats what your getting at.

I doubt they will make the same mistake like they did on the old school jeeps and have the wheels and tires well inside the fenders and fender flares like the first generation XJ cherokee.
Its prolly a combination of things like Hemi Jon said and Scott said.

If they used spacers, it wouldn't be the first time.
It's also common for manufaturers to fit wider wheels in exactly the same design as the standard ones to make it look better.
They do heaps of this stuff, lowering jobs etc, even tinting windows dramatically changed the look of a car.

I would just like to add to Marlins point, as far as tinting goes - when I see car commercials and the windshield is fully tinted. Im like.. LOL, it comes like that?

If your referring to the car looking lower in the red, the article on autoblog stated they are probably testing the air suspension at it's lowest setting. It's the overland model (judging by the wood steering wheel).

Whats that little thing below the front license plate on the front of the red jeep? The other one doesn't have it.

James Bond rocket launcher option on the Overlands I'm guessing? Or is that going to be the special "Zombie Apocalypse" trim?

im gonna take a guess and say that the silver is a Laredo and the red is an Overland....which means that the overland has more options, and that seems to be a sensor, somewhat similar to the parking sensors, for the adaptive cruise control....say ur cruise control is set at 75, and the person in front of you is going 72, that round thing sees the car in front of you going slower, which results in your cruise control speed to temporarily change....sorry for the rambling!

No the "silver" one is white gold and was an Overland that was shown at the 2009 NY Auto Show. The sensor was added later and is most likely the Forward Collision Warning System or it could be the Adaptive Cruise Sensor as you pointed out.
