I check this forum about 5 times a day now because I am so excited for the new Jeep. I have already cleaned out my 4runner and got it ready to trade in.

So figured the action has really declined a lot lately and wanted to make a new thread and hopefully get people excited again. We are only days away from the Month when they are supposed to be on the lot.

I can't wait to hear from anyone who knows of dates they will be coming in etc.

It's strange that the guy said that it's "not drivable." Wonder why not.

He described the air suspension, whereas the car obviously doesn't have it.

"not drivable" referred to the fact he had the remote start running. He had to push Start Stop button in order to put the vehicle in "drive mode"

12.3 mpg is just delivered off the truck, driven around the lot, idled and probably a test ride by the employees. Not the usual mpg stuff.

X 2 and it also probaly had the AC blasting too. That jeep will get an average of 16 mpg I bet.

I just called cheerful Erin at D'Ambrosio, the dealer in Downingtown PA posted on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pks-Igg71X4) with the red 2011 Laredo in stock. The idea was to drive out there and see it in the flesh to determine if it is right to sit in at my height.

Bummer -- turns out to be a wrecked vehicle owned by Chrysler, and they won't allow anybody to sit in it. All you can do is stand there with your thumb up your ass and stare it it. Damn lawyers ruin everything!:motx:

But a couple other PA/NJ area dealers I called think/hope they will have one unit on hand by the third week of the month. There's apparently a big dealer bash not far from here later this month, and some expect they can return with a real, live unwrecked unit.

I live a stones throw away from Shaver, T.O. Funny enough I called and spoke to a salesman there last week asking him to let me know when the first car comes in, but I told him specifically when he asked that I don't need 4WD. They only need the u connect guardian their version of onstar to make it perfect,as far as the roof mount dvd which eliminates the panorama- roof, two way to solve this,mopar which make their accessories can make one between the driver and passenger seat right above the center console,or since this jeep has alot of mercedes benz dna,they could have still design two 8 inch dvd into the active head rest,just like the mercedes benz e and s class sedan.

Right. I do think that the last time I went on the Mopar website, I noticed a comment that there will be a Headrest DVD-solution for the 2011 GC by Mopar. Let's see if that solution will be Sirius TV-enabled, too, or limited to DVD functionality.

Nice! First look at the flip glass in the rear. Confirmed for sure now that they did not remove that feature.

My local dealer said they wont be getting any WK2s until September or October:(, but that gives me plenty of time to decide if I want to go through the hassle of buying/trading for another new jeep.
