Sounds like a great idea.

Anyone have one on their ride? Please post pics.

Thoughts/opinions on them or any other brand?

I have my whole front end covered with clear bra. 3m product.

my installer did say it can be removed but sometimes paint can get jacked, said you need a lot of heat to get it off.

but why take it off......it works great IMO.

I have my bumper, headlights, grill face, 12 inches up the hood and then down the fenders. under each door handle too. paid 500 for everything found a dealer guy on craigslist. comes with a guarantee.

1 thing, be aware of DIY kits on ebay, especially pre cut. what installer said was you need to stretch the product a bit so off a big roll works....but precut, nothing to grab to pull, no loooky good!

I would definitely have a pro do it. If I did it myself I'd have air bubbles all over the place :(

I wish I had a clear bra installed when I bought my Jeep. My front end is dying to be repainted.

VeI've heard the only negative is dirt gets stick along the edges which gives it away. No matter how much you clean your car you'll still get it. It's most noticeable on lighter colored cars. But it does save the front end of the car.

Do the whole jeep and you'll never have to buff out those swirl marks or wax again :)

Im guessing the 3m stuff if pretty durable huh? Is it scratch resistant? I was always curious about this stuff.

If I ever get my hood repainted i'd probably get some of this product. I hate rock chips on the hood!!! I've learned my lesson about driving behind 18 Wheelers.

haha, me too :) Just temporary untill I get some updated pics of my Jeep.

The c6 vett and many other cars come with it factory now. I would love to do it to my jeep but my front bumper is so fukked up its not worth it, I want to have the front bumper repainted or replaced first. But i am thinking of having the hood done in the mean time.

Ive also seen mirrors done too.

Well I found out it may be too late for me already as there are a couple of deep enough scratches on my hood and bumper that make it not worth it...so I guess I will be doing paint first and then the clear bra :)

I also recommend the PPG ceramiclear clear coat. I know Daniel uses it on request. My body shop is using it on mu bumper as we speak. Its a little more expensive than normal clear...but its scratch, ding, bug etc resistant. Maybe Daniel will chime in to expalin it better!
