HID Reverse lights

bought this from someone who bought it then changed thier minds.
i think they said it was a 4500K im guessing that means 4300K, IDK.
Its rather white as I wanted.

in the box: 2 of each:

ballast has 2 sided tape: I used my own tape adhesion promoter - no modder should be without this stuff. makes 2-sided tape work like cement.

bulb - he adapted the gray part so it will pop right into the reverse hole.

i got them from BT and like was reported on red site they stick UP a mile. i saw a post where they modified by BT for the OP. So mine were the same but I was only offered to return them as they werent modifying any more right now and didnt know when they might :(

its close to 10-24 but something about the way the threads are spaced. seems like a more coarse 10-is neeeded,

i didnt want to be a cry baby :crbaby: and send them back, i could not for the life of me find a tap to make the threads in the pins deeper. sooooooooooooo

I took 4 threads off the the pin with the dremel cut off wheel.

Retractable front plate - didnt like the look

yeah so i got to installing my retractable ffront plate over the past week and i must say very disapointed...

not as in operation or flaws or etc... it just didnt look good- at least for my eyes.

it didnt take long to install either, roughly 30 minutes due to making your own hanger bracket and drilling two small holes on the upper lip (hidden along the top of the lower grille)

i mean when the plate is up it looks great..just when its laid back to flat and tucked away it clutter to the lines of the front. i got it supported as close as rad-gills as i could and still the tracks front end pokes out like a kid in grade school looking at a hot girl- lol all pun- hehhe

anyways it didnt take more than 10 minutes staring at it from all angles to decide this front retractable plate isnt for me. at least not this one though. maybe theres another one with a shorter track out there so it wont clutter the front lips "flush'ness" <
anyways i snapped pics all throughout the install for a how to- but my main computer is kicking the ill shiot and is dead right now so itll have to wait until i get a new computer tomorrow to upload the and pics.

i will say im picky about most things so this tiny CM sticking out prolly wouldnt bother anyone else but im stubborn and need to have to flush or closest to perfect as possible or ill bail out.

btw since im not going to use it, if anyone wants mine for cheaper than average lmk, well talk somehting out for you.

HID headlight bulbs question?

Bought these the other day. Apparently they're for my model and year, but I can't for the life of me see how they'll fit!

They're also meant to be a direct replacement ie just remove the stock ones and plug these in. I've contacted the seller but it's late here so I don't expect to hear back tonight.

Any ideas:confused: I was really looking forward to fitting these too. I bought some led licence plate bulbs from the same guy and they're awesome:thumbsup:, but these I just don't know.

I'm looking to have my door handles, side mirrors, and rear lift hatch painted to match on my '05 Laredo. Can I have a shop paint prep and paint them how they are or do I need to buy chrome covers for them all and have those covers painted to match?

I know its the same mods everyone else does, but i am pretty pumped about it!! Bought the steel blue body kit of ebay for half price, having it painted to match along with stillens, new grill, laredo door moldings, engine strut, mirrors smoothed and painted-should have done them along time ago.

Installed SRT OEM springs (thanks speedking1121) and it gave me about a 1.5" drop all the way around with stock shocks and struts.

My favorites so far have been the rear SRT sway bar (i can really plow into curvy roads now) and removing the roof rack for a much, much sportier look.

Should have most everything on this weekend- Got to hurry up and order some SRT reps, just cant decide on tires!!

Bug Defector

Were I live, I always hit bugs and it pissed me off because I can never keep the Jeep clean. I had a bug defector on my last Jeep but I did not live in a area were a lot of bugs like to die. So, for those that have the defector, how good are they for keeping the bugs from hitting my windshield so many times that I have to use my wipers when I just washed the car?

there are also a set of 6K HID bulbs for the low beams and a set of 3K HID bulbs for my fogs. I should have them installed by the end of the week. Will post installed pics then.

neffy wrap on outside of car

Hi guys. I've neffy wrapped the center consul etc inside my SRT8. I've the CF medic hood. And I've just installed the black ops CF rear step and front spoiler insert. But I'd love to finish her off with CF side strips. Chad at black ops says they are in the pipeline. But not dates as yet. Question is has anyone used neffy wrap on the outside of their car ?

I've search the fourm for anyone who has installed the JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS on a 2005-2007 Jeep with little luck. Pictures/Reviews etc anyone?. I have a black Jeep and wanted to see the chrome vs the black on anyones keep. KB Car stuff has them.

Yeah I know it's filthy, but another step closer to a true 187.. Got the new tails and rear fogs installed.

Brake color options

So I got a new brake set up coming :)

What color should they be?

I've got an all green Jeep, with black rims...

I plan on painting the calipers, and rotors (not the contact surface, but the rest of it, with a high temp paint, so it doesnt look gross when it rusts)

I was thinking Black rotors, with black calipers... I've got some green g2 paint, but I think it might make it a little too Ricey

What about gold rotors, with a black caliper? Or vice versa?

Or should I do something crazy?

Probably going in this weekend, so give me ideas

edit: I am an idiot, it should be brake color options... Flame away

The Tint Thread

This is a thread only for Tinted Windows.

Say what percentage tint and which windows are tinted.

Put a picture of what they look like inside and outside.

Here's my Jeep. (This is for Father Paul) Sorry I took a lot for him.

20% Two front Windows and 10% Tint over the Rear windows. The Tint shop added another 20% to the rears to make it 10%

Windshield has no tint.
