Well today I decided to wrap the interior trim with some neffy wrap. Everything turned out great but now that I have everything back together, my power windows wont work, or the power locks. The power mirrors work though. Could it have blown a fuse??? Where is that fuse located so I can check? I tried looking under the dash and in the owners manual but couldnt find anything for power windows. The reason I think it is a fuse is the fact that I didnt touch the back seat switches and they dont work either. But im stumped.

Any help would be very appreciated.

OHH and when I arm and disarm the alarm on the jeep the locks work fine. Not sure what is going on.

HELP!!!

After dealing with my previous problems a new one has come about

The car does not feel sturdy at all when going over bumps it gets jolted from side to side other than that here's the new problem

If I'm cruising on the highway between 60-beyond and the second I let off the gas pedal the whole car starts shaking side to side real bad as if it's going to flip over !!! The funny part is that as soon as you give it gas the shaking goes away ?????

Also it does jolt from side to side over any bump and just does not feel comfortable in general

my friends lowered RX-7 feels like a flying carpet on clouds of extacy and my POS GC feels like a phucking tractor riding on a pile of bricks

I want to sell it but I can't in the current condition it is in, therefore need some wisdom !!!

It feels very unsafe and has been getting worse and annoying, when checked underneath found that the sway bar bushing in the front and rear were damaged but that was from all the play that it has been going through

things that are being considered to check this weekend

- sway bar links
- sway bar bushings
- track bar
- ?????????

WHY THE PHUCK DOES IT GO AWAY WHEN GAS IS APPLIED OR COME BACK WHEN LET OFF THE GAS PEDAL ... makes me wonder something to do with the driveline, either drive shaft joints such as the u-joints or some other shit

I got my 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT8 at the end of July. Last week, the moon roof started to act up. It stops 1/4 of the way when I press the button to open it, takes a few attempts to get it to open fully, then takes a few times to get it fully closed. Monday, I installed my HID low beam & fog light kits with bulb out warning eliminators for the low beams. When I started the car & switched the lights on to let the HIDs burn in, they came on fine & everything seemed ok. After a few minutes, I moved the switch back to automatic & the engine started to idle very rough, the RPMs bounced between 1,000 - 3,000 & it stalled after the check engine light came on. I pulled a code P0339 (Crankshaft position sensor A circuit intermittent) with my Predator & left it alone until making an appt. to have my local dealer take a look today.

This morning, the check engine light was off & the tech said that he didn't find any code stored in the computer. As I backed out of my driveway to go to work, the car rolled back like it was in neutral, then the transmission took over & started to move the car.

I've kept the headlight switch on automatic since I got the car, so I don't know if this is a new issue or if it had been there & just showed itself because I had to move the switch to turn on my headlights to make sure the kits were installed right & working. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Could installing the HID kits have caused this problem? I'm taking it back to the dealership I bought it from on Monday to see if they can straighten it out. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Hey There Good to be here!!!

So my 4.7L 05 Grand Cherokee is making a ticking sound and I found out it's the left side exhaust manifold. The sound was coming from the back of the manifold. Upon further inspection today I saw that the back part of the heat shield...the bolt holding it to the manifold was broken. I could take my hand and pull the shield away from the manifold.

I called the local Jeep dealer and spoke to an awesome guy in the parts department who said he had the same issue on his Durango...he said that he changed out the gasket, bolts, and studs.

He also said I shouldn't have to replace the manifold...just the gaskets, bolts, and studs.

What do you guys think about this? I asked him about the manifold warping and he said that shouldn't be an issue with the 4.7L...just the gasket.

When I purchased the vehicle, I only received one key. My question may sound a bit noobish, but I just want to be sure. In order to duplicate the key, would I be able to go to any place that copies keys, or would I have to get another key specifically coded from the dealership for my specific vehicle? I apologize if it sounds confusing. I ask because I want to install a full security system in the Jeep, and i've been told that I need two keys in order to have it installed. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to have a spare. Thanks in advance everyone.

Hi there, when slowly pulling up, my brand new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee makes a loud vibrating noise for a couple of seconds, somewhere around the steering column. Jeep garage checked everything but couldn't find it. So air flow when driving creates it. They did not yet take the car outside for a test ride to simulate the problem. When driving uphill or steering in any direction, noise tends to get louder. Anybody an idea of what could cause this annoying noise? Thanks so much!

A week or two ago I was behind a car and I saw the cut off for my passenger light but it was like I didn't even have light on my driver side. I got out, check the bulb to find that my bulb on the driver side was halfway out . I put it back in and when on with my route. Got home and pulled into my driveway and notice the same thing happen to my light and I put it back in AGAIN . So I had about enoght if that crap and really started to work on it and notice that I had to put the relay down below the bulb just to add weight to it so it won't twist and pop out again. Tonight I notice that the bulbs was not level and notice that there was much more glare on the left side (the problem side) then the right side. I looked in the hosing and notice that the top part of the housing is burnt on the left side and a little burnt on the right side on the top part. I thought that HIDs ran cooler than OEM lights so I don't know why this is happening. I also swapped out the light with the light on my other side and I"m still having the same problem. I put the OEM light back into the housing were I'm having the problem and it fits like a glove so why would one side fit my HID bulb like the way it should fit but my other side is making it loose but yet, its fine when I put the OEM bulb in it.

2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo, I6, 80k miles

When I get in my Jeep, put it in reverse and start to back up, I hear a metal grinding noise (like if you let your brake pads wear out, metal on metal sound). The noise is there from the time the truck starts to move. It's present when I let my foot completely off the brake, on the brake, going straight, or turning.

Once I put the Jeep into Drive and go forwards the noise goes away. I can then stop and put it in Reverse again and the noise is gone. If I let it sit for awhile, it will be back when it's in reverse again (but only when first starting).

It just started yesterday when I was backing out of my parking spot from work. I thought it might be something stuck under the Jeep, but I didn't see anything last night. I have an idea of what it might be but would like some other opinions before I say what I think is the problem. So, what do you think the problem is?

Well I guess this just isnt my week....

1st off I decide to thoroughly clean my interior by removing my seats only to find out that by doing so the air bag thing will have to be recalibrated...Yeah a trip to the dealer!!!

2nd Lets detail the engine bay....

Code #1 P0507...(Idle Speed Performance Higher Than Expected) go to autozone and have them tell me what it is, decide that I got water in a conector or the throttle body is dirty so I get a can of air and some throttle body cleaner. Dry all connections and clean the throttle body

RESULTS.... Seems like it runs better but the code came back so Im not sure what to do there...

on the way home the performance goes to poo and the traction control light comes on with the red light lighting bolt ( read the manual tells me the throttle is all messed up and I need to cycle the key and get to the dealer... Thank god after cycleing the key it went away still have no clu as to why that came up

Code #2 P2173 When I got home I ran the key cycle and checked the codes and had this aditional code (trottle actuator control system -High Air flow detected slow accumalation ) to the one that I stated earlier. now I reset the codes and I guess well see if it comes back..

I guess I would like to get anyones advice on fixing the codes or if anyone has had them before

Thank god that when I waxed the her all up today aswell there are no codes that can come from that LOL

The truck has 50k miles on it. The only code showing is the p1521. What would you guys do to try to get the mpg's back to where they should be?
I was thinking proper weight oil so the mds will work, new egr valve, pcv and spark plugs. Also, does the p1521 code have to be cleared or will it go away with time after the proper weight oil is in it. Thanks in advance.
