Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

I installed a new Billet catch can today, went pretty well. Tight fit and I had to raise water hose over top of radiator housing but it fit well in the end.

Which one did you order? The one for the SRT8 or are they all same?

Re: Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

Billet Technologies. not SRT8. They have one for the 5.7 but if you still have the stock air intake yuou will need to mount on the fender wall.

Re: Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

Thanks for the info, so does it come with the Z-mount bracket, or do you need to order it separate or do you not need it for the 5.7?

I am going to order once once they get them back in stock

Thanks again!

Re: Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

it depends on if you still have factory intake? I have a Volant so just standard bracket, other wise you will need a fender mount, see web page link below. standard bracket is free, others are $25.00

Re: Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

rpoverland a lot of the new engines "burn some oil" as most will put it. See this thread Oil Consumption

When in fact there are tubes in place to allow some venting of air/oil mixture from the under the valve covers back to your throttle body. In turn naturally you will "burn oil" as you cannot vent this air without there being some oil in it. Down flaw here it this oils will catch small dirt particles and over time build up gunk! (main reason) The catch can allows the venting to happen as designed but catches the oil in a can rather than letting it recycle through your engine and be burnt, you just keep and eye on the can and drain the oil out. Basically it's acting as an Air oil separator. Want to make some cash?? Design the Air/oil separator with a float type valve in it that will drain caught oil back into the pan and sell to the big three. They all need it!!! Not just us.

Did you see a performance increase with the Volant air induction?

Re: Installed new Billet catch can for Hemi

+1 to getting a Catch Can for the 5.7L Hemi. I am still shocked at how much napalm comes out of the can even in a short 1k miles.

WK2 install and catch results here:

Would the standard bracket work for any CAi? I am debating betweening the Volant or Mopar CAI and was wondering if the standard bracket will work for the Mopar CAI as well.
