Excellent work BTW- I assume most of this is being done by machine?
Good insite yeah we do not mess with the composites right now. We were working on doing a powder coated 5.7 but baking at 395 melted one side. We are looking for more demo or trashed composite intakes to figure the right process.
As for the question of porting benifits, yes inside I would agree if it can be smoothed out or "de-burred" it will help to reduce airflow loss coefficents.

Thanks for the compliments, pretty much equal mix between hand and machine on the inside and outside.

I've asked around, and since ours are plastic or composite, its not possible. BUT I may have found a tuner for the 3.7l V6!! I'll keep ya posted

Plastic/Composite manifolds CAN be ported. It just takes more precision, slightly different tooling, etc. Its no different than re-working the plastic throttle bodies.

This isn't my vendor forum so I dont want to step on any toes, but if you talk to the right people I am sure they can do it. Make a template of the intake port (can be done as simply as buying a junkyard head, then tracing the port with a sharpie onto a piece of paper) along with the shape of the intake runner on the manifold, then send out the manifold.

Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

I went over it with FR, and velocity is the issue. Porting is possible, but unless you increase velocity it doesn't improve anything. Someone send FR a pic of the 3.7L intake manifold.

I think you may have misunderstood what I said. Essentially the art of porting is increasing airflow without killing velocity. Things like proper exhaust setup, cam profile, etc etc aid in creating velocity. Velocity is important...but what we're really chasing is the relationship between airflow and velocity.

With stock cams/heads etc there is only so much to gain from porting.Add some reground cams, etc and you'll really see the difference.
