Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Wow, it looks awesome! Thanks, Milous.
I guess those rear speakers are maybe why there's no room for a spare.

Milous, the spec sheet on the Jeep web site shows:
SRT High Performance Audio from Harman Kardon ® with 19 speakers, 10-inch subwoofer, 825-watt amplifier

Hopefully they used something other than the chryco plastic sub enclosure for the new 10 incher. The 2011 version flexes and reverberates so much it neuters the lows and sonic impact of the rest of the Alpine system.
It's easily fixed with a hard fiberglass sub box or stealth box, but it would be great if HK designed the rest of the system components and config for the SRT8.
Some photos attached of the 2011 system stuff. Do Not Try This at Home

I thought the same thing. I thought the standard Alpine system was this layout. They also said it was a 7.3 system. Is that dead as well Milous?

Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Looks nice! Hope it sounds as good as it seems and I hope its clean at loud levels. Assuming they engineered the speaker/amps and all to be able to handle max power for sustained periods without clipping cause I know Ill be pushing this system hard as I love my music loud haha. HK is a good name, never heard any of their car stuff but figuring they chose it it cant be too bad. Im sure it wont match a nicely setup custom mix of the better names on the audio market but then again who knows? Cant wait to see

The layout for the Alpine system is a little different: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_alpine.htm
825-watt amp, 7.3 system is correct. Technically, it is a 900-watt amp (12 ch x 75w = 900), but in the Grand Cherokee 11 channels are used (11 ch x 75 = 825).

Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Milous, have you heard the system? If so how does it compare with the Alpine one?

Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Thanks Milous.
I can't wait to hear the new system...But unfortunately, as in my current SRT8...I often travel with no radio and a heavy right foot!
Milous...

Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Hopefully This system will be better then the 2011 430N.... All sorts of crackling noises intermittently when using an iPod. Anyone know if there is a dedicated iPod hookup like the previous 730N versions? I cant take this center console USB crap any longer.

Re: SRT Harman Kardon premium audio system
Will it be possible to retrofit this into our 2011s (RER version) like we could the kicker system in the previous SRT?
