BlueLodge, do you think the 5% is going to be a better match in neutral light (cloudy, at night, etc?). I would just like it to match but have utility too, like what you are thinking about.
I had 5% on my old car, and be aware that it is very dark, specially at night time. I wouldnt recommend it for drivers and passenger windows. Rear is fine due to the reverse camera etc.
Lemon Pledge recommended by my tint installer to clean. It's worked great on my last 5 vehicles. The window glides smoothly over the inside seal, thereby reducing the likelyhood of the rubber, felt whatever scratching the tint.
Tint the windshield with 35% or 50% and the sides at 20%. With the windshield tinted it makes the side windows look a lot darker than what they are because you don't have all the light coming through the windshield.
I ended up using Optical Technology OT-Black Series at 20% - so far it appears to be a great factory match. I am waiting for it to dry further before taking pictures.
