it's bad advice to tell this guy to automatically replace his battery and starter at the same time.
It does not make any sence that a bad starter would kill a battery or that a bad battery would kill the starter. its either the battery, the starter, the solenoid but not "all at once" Thats the kind of advice the give to women and old ladies at ripoff garages
"Ya, the starter went and even though the horn and lights are good and it wont take a jump you still need a battery"
From what I am experiencing in my 2005 hemi gc the battery is fine so that rules out vthe battery and the alternator.
what "I" "do not know" IS HOW TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE between the solenoid and starter for the culprit.
I am guessing that if banking the starter with a hammer works then its def the starter...otherwise I need someone in the know the use a meter on this. i'll tell you, the starter did go two weeks after i bought this with like 37,000 on it and i replaced it and about 30000 later its gobe again wtf?
