05' WK 5.7L Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction?

This is another Jeep I just bought yesterday. It's an 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L.

It has a check engine light now so I guess the guy decided to reset it before he sold it to me but I got the codes and I'm not that upset if I have to fix it since it it's my problem now.

It has about 1500 miles until next oil change too. I'll first change the oil and see.

Codes:
P0520-Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction (New Oil Pressure Sensor?)
P1521-No DTC Definition Found. See Service Manual
P0520-Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Repeated)
P0524-Engine Oil Pressure Too Low

Help with me great and cost on these parts will be awesome too.

How easy is it to replace the Oil Pressure Sensor?

Re: 05' WK 5.7L Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction?

The p520 and p0524 is likely your pressure sender as was your guess.

the P1521 is incorrect oil type being used, as I am sure you know this is vital for MDS operation, there is a starcase that suggests if you know you are using the right weight oil that the problem is likely the oil temperature sender (which is located near the oil filter). There is also a flash for this concern BUT the flash is for this dtc on startup in high ambiant temperatures, likely not your problem seeing as its february.

Re: 05' WK 5.7L Engine Oil Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction?

I got an Oil Change yesterday. Smooth so far. I did find a Quart of 5W30 in the back seat . So I changed it to Mobil 1 5W20. and I'm changing out the Oil Pressure Sensor later today.
