Windshield strip is ghetto. IMO. 50% is not dark but the LLumar brand does reflect light. I'm happy.

If the law was absolute, then yes, darker than legal is of course illegal – however, is a cop going to be tougher on a guy rocking double 5% on his front windows or 5% more than the legal limit? Speeding is the same way – a guy going 8 over the limit may get a warning, but the guy going 40 over is going to get thrown in jail. Like I said before, I don’t know what the law states in Illinois, but I think some states would frown heavily upon the front tint. If anyone could find the law (and consequences) I would be very interested to see. I’ve loved the look of the dark windshield but was scared away by the hearsay from back in high school.
