Has anybody pieced together their own exhaust for a 05 hemi? I have been lookin at bolt on cat backs and they are pretty expensive. Since I weld for a living,im confident I can piece my own system up for probably less than half the cost of a bolt on. So i guess im asking if anyone has done it before,what exhaust parts did you use,where did you find them,prices and so on and so forth. Thanks

hey man, on all of my vehicles in the past i have done cat back systems but when i got my 2006 hemi, the stock tubing is 2.5 inch. Anyways i decided to peice my exhaust it it turned out great!! i got a magnaflow muffler. check my old postsa or threads through my profile statistics. its in there. anyways i got the muffler and some tubing from a local exhaust shop. call around. i found a guy who was really nice and i got my clamps from him and everything. i left my resonator and just changed the muffler out and it works great!! i recommend it. eventually id like to do an srt8 conversion so i might get that custom bent a done. but switching mufflers is simple!!! espcecially if your a welder!!!
