Yeah nevermind. I'm not a fan of the lowrider look. LOL I'll have my mechanic do it when I get the bilsteins.

neither did I need one the front ones were harder to torque down since we did not use a spring compressor but it can be done easily

Re: DIY WK spring install-use for shocks and struts as well

Update, DEF get the upgraded shocks and struts. I only did the eibach SRT springs and have blown ALL of my shox and struts already. It still is drivable but dangerous on the highway going over large bumps. Time for Timmy to save up for new shocks.

Re: DIY WK spring install-use for shocks and struts as well

Just did my spring install today. Thanks for this write up. It took me 3 hrs to do in the garage today. Easiest suspension yet. I almost didnt do it since my dodge ram 2500 took 2 days to install. That was a butt kicking!

Re: DIY WK spring install-use for shocks and struts as well

I was measuring the nut that connects the upper control arm to the steering knuckle and I found that 11/16th and 17mm too small and 3/4 and 18mm too big. What size is this? 23/32nds??? 17.5mm??? Adjustable wrench time???

Also what is the nut size at the top of the strut for plate that holds the spring down?

I don't want to round off any hardware on this job.

If we're talking the same fasteners, I believe they're both 18mm on my 07'. That's the upper ball joint nut and the 4 nuts holding on the upper strut plate.

I can verify tonight.
