The one with the push button hatch.
Think it is a 6or 9 pin connector in there for the REP.
If not they have not installed the wire kit for that radio.
And who knows what other wire harness it requires that was not in your build.
No connector inside hatch that I can see, It has the usb in the centre console as it should though.

Response from SUNA -

SUNA GPS Traffic Updates are provided as an encrypted broadcast in the metropolitan areas of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide, and Canberra.

While we are in discussion with all manufacturers in the automotive industry, at this stage Chryslerís navigation systems are not compatible with the SUNA Traffic Channel. We would encourage you to contact Chrysler directly for further information regarding their planned introduction of SUNA GPS Traffic Updates.

Alternatively, you can find a list of SUNA compatible devices/manufacturers at www.sunatraffic.com.au/moreinfo.html. The compatibility list is updated as soon as new SUNA enabled navigation systems become available.

Well Credit where credit is due after a little bit of debating and back and forth my dealership has come good and replaced my REP with the correct RHP unit. It has fixed my Iphone 4 issues and being able to Bluetooth stream music. I haven't had an opportunity to test the mapping as yet but I am hoping its better than the previous unit.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

What crap navigation system have they put in this car. I've had the car less than a month and everytime I use it, it either doesn't have the address (the number) or it has it but it has me zigzaging all over the place to get there.

Major traffic flows from road A to road B by making a simple right hand turn from A into B. But instead of that simple instruction this navigation system has me turn right into a narrow laneway (before reaching B) , then left into another laneway that leads me to then having to turn right onto a busy road B. Returning from this trip it again instructed me into these alleys.

Similiarly earlier on, it also directed me to turn left off the main road A on to a residential street only to find I was then directed to turn right on another residential street that winded me back on to the original road A.

THIS IS CRAZY.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Gave the Sat Nav system another quick test yesterday to Sydney International Airport from the south.

It guided me on to: Marsh St; then to keep left onto Airport Drive (instead of the keep right to exit to the Int. Airport); and then to chuck a U turn at a set of lights; and then to keep left to take the Int Airport exit coming from the north.

The Sat Nav was clearly aware of the right lane and road to the airport.

Is there a hidden setting somewhere that I may have on for "tourist drive" or "take the most illogical route found" or "ignore road rules".

If possible, can someone confirm if their system is choosing this same route to Syd Int Airport coming from the south Marsh St.

I don't mind and accept that at times the wrong route may be selected or that the most direct route mighten be chosen but so far, every time I have used it, it directs you off and back on to the route/road.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Funny.
When I collected my car on Tuesday from the dealership, I immediately programmed my Home Address, and set it to navigate. I was most surprised when the route was displayed, in the most direct route and the one I would naturally drive. Fantasic, I thought. I turned out of the delaership and headed upto the intersection to make a left turn to follow the route on the screen. WHAM!. The voice from the nav system says "TURN RIGHT"
After a double check of the route on the screen, which indicated a left turn, the voice again said "TURN RIGHT"

Conclusion: Either the radio is upside down and is in need of an urgent TSB to recall all Southern Hemisphere cars to reinstall the device, or, due to our close proximity to Antartica, our Metric system is being influenced by Global Warming, and Political Budgetry taxation requirements such as GST, which is impeding Aussies from functioning because they are Down Under and therefore Left is Right and Up is in fact Down, Red is Green, and Right is Wrong. One thing for sure, Chrysler Aust are Idiots who have obviously been effected by the recent very large Moon.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Yes, you are frequently told to turn left and viceversa when map displays the opposite.

The system is crap and dangerous, regardless of whether your hands are on the wheel and your eyes are on the road.

These incorrect directions, given both visually and verbally (especially when you don't know the route or the area) are a major distraction.

Mate, if this is issue wasn't so damn frustrating, your post would be soooo funny.

Yesterday, my wife had a repeat occurance that instead of turning right at a set of lights, it wanted her to turn left, head down the road for 500m then do a "U" turn then come back to effect a convaluted right turn.

She took a photo with her iphone of the screen, suggest that others start doing the same.

Well there you go ... The problem is that your car was supposed to be sold in Melbourne.

I wonder if they are having the same issues in the US and other countries.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Well in my now 355 km old Overland, I have found the Navigation faultless, if taking routes I would not call the fastest/shortest etc It does seem to have some issues there.

It even has the new roads north of the Gateway bridges, and the ARU flyover.

Re: Navigation System Quirks

Good news somewhat for once for 2012 Overland or 2012 Limited with upgraded systems.

After again having our great Navigation system select this route
1. Head north on road
2. Turn right at the street before the one you really need to turn left at.
2. Turn left in the next street
3. Turn left into the street you wanted
4. Drive through the intersection you could and should have turned left at.

I decided to call Jeep Customer Care 1300 133 079 about these crazy route calculations.

After being placed on hold I was advised they are aware of the problem and will be providing an update in the near future (a month or two) to dealers.

Whether this is true depends I suppose on the number of people calling them complaining about it. So please register your complaint.

I also again asked about what is going on with the recovery hooks but see recovery thread for that response.

Excellent news. I will phone them tomorrow, as well as lodge a complaint with the dealer.
