Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

I sent Ryan my 5.7 throttle body to be ported and wow. The difference from just a port job you think wouldn't be much. Well it's definitely noticable throughout the powerband and the exhaust note sounds a little more pronounced. All in all it's definitely worth having this mod and the price is just unbeatable!

Thanks Ryan!

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

Hello everyone I just wanted to say for those especially the 4.0 crowd who are considering the ported TB from Ryan, should order one without a doubt. The ported TB took a while (due to acquiring a core, shipping, work on his part etc etc.) But Ryan was able to keep in contact and pm me constantly whenever I messaged him. Here is what I notice, there is a definite pep in the acceleration and 0-60 times (try not to laugh while I'm talking about a 4.0 ) definitely improved. I really like this mod and happy I got it. So for those wanting a best bang for the buck mod without paying loads of money elsewhere, I'd go see Flyin Ryan for ported throttle bodies.

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

Ok,

I'm not the first 5.7 feedback, but it'll be a good one I think.

I have a 2010 WK with the 5.7 hemi. Ryan hadn't done a newer WK 5.7 yet.

I got in on the Group by and got my TB back today.

Here's what the TB checked out as before re-installation.
**Ryan packed excellently...

Nicely done on the top end... not mirror finish, but pretty dang close!

The verdict...

I don't have a before and after without a CAI... I found a smokin' deal on the K&N 63 series CAI. I went from all-stock, to the K&N and Ryan's TB.

So far, I can see at least an immediate gain of at least .5-1mpg... I hope to see it jump from there.

Still sounds nice and tame at cruise, but holy smokes, when I get on it, she let's me know it's there -- even with the stock exhaust. I expected a little more air noise with the CAI, but I only get a little hissing until I really romp on the gas.

Dollar for dollar, I don't think there are any better performance mods than the CAI and Ryan's TB polish.

I will report back on MPG numbers when I get a few tanks of gas run through - but so far, so good for what I was hoping for!

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

Just wanted to say that Ryan's product and customer service is top notch. Ryan kept me updated on the progress of my Throttle body and did an outstanding job on the actual porting and polishing. Dont waste your money on the expensive TB's out there from large companies, this is by far the way to go! I instantly felt and increase in throttle response and my mpg's should improve once I lay off the gas. Thanks again Ryan!

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

I just installed my TB this weekend on my 3.7. The throttle response is like night and day compared to before. It is much more responsive IMO. I drove from Colorado Springs to Denver and my MPG never went below 24MPG on the highway at 75mph. In town now its around 19 from before which was 17. I wasnt expecting to see this much of a gain but im not complaining at all!!

Ryan's customer service is awesome!! He called me and let me know that it was shipped as well as gave me the tracking number. The porting looked great and this is a MUST DO mod.

Currently I have the stock intake right now with a K&N drop in filter. After doing this, I really want to get the AirAid intake!!!

Thanks Ryan, you're the man!

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

Bought a ported TB from Ryan. Pleasure to do business with him. Great communication and product. Went out of his way to get me my TB. Even with his tooling situation being in limbo for so long.

I recommend his ported TB's to everyone. For under $100.00, the performance upgrade can't be beat. Definately part of the puzzle for better power from a bolt-on. Love the extra help getting more air into the motor. I can feel the difference when I drop the hammer down.

Unbeatable price, genuinely great guy to do business with (kept me up to date, got it done and shipped in no time once his tools were fixed, and very friendly) , and one hell of a product - mods don't get better than this! I'd highly recommend getting ahold of one of these.

Re: Flyin' Ryan Performance Official Feedback Thread

Just installed this mod onto my truck yesterday. Doing business with Ryan cannot go smoother. He kept me updated whenever I asked for an update and I never once was worried about anything with receiving the TB. I did wait a while to receive the TB but this is because Ryan and I started the transaction in the middle of his move from Florida back to New Jersey and he also started a new job, so there's nothing to complain about. As for the TB, I've only put about 40 miles of only city driving on it, but I can tell the truck already pulls way harder. I'll end up doing a full review after I put some more miles on it.

Back to the point, I would definitely recommend doing business with Ryan to anyone who wants to get a little extra "umph" out of their truck.
