Blind Spot Detection
I just found a Mopar Blind Spot detection system available for the Chrysler Town and Country. Do you know if this could work for the WK2?

Re: Blind Spot Detection
Seems like they send you out mirror covers for it to work. If the WK2s have the same mirrors as the T&C then it may work. The detail (or lack there of) is kind of hard to tell what all that they are selling.

Re: Blind Spot Detection
The Australian spec Overlands have Blindspot and cross path as standard.
Intersting though, we do not have LED in the mirrors for turn signals. This may be where the sensors are located, as I could not see them anywhere on the body of the car.

Re: Blind Spot Detection
For that price, I assume it replaces the mirror (not housing) with the standard (Mopar) triangular warning light plus the usual heat and dimming features. It also has to have a control with audio inside the vehicle.
I emailed the company re: compatability with the WK2 and await their answer.
At the time I got my Overland, the ACC pkg wasn't available. I never cared for the ACC but I do like the Blind spot monitor feature. Even though I do adjust my side mirrors out (as they out to be), every bit helps.

I fully agree with that and wish ours were too. May be with future models.

The sensor for the blind spot indicators is in the mirror housing on my Overland at the end of the row of lights for the turn signal that is also built into the mirror housing. I don't know if they are LED's or regular lights though. The Adaptive Cruise, Blind Spot Indicators and the Cross Path Detection are all part of an option package here in the US, but the Turn signal lights in the side view mirrors are standard on the Overland.

Re: Blind Spot Detection
Well, I got a simple answer from moparonlineparts.com: "it's only for a minivan".
