Height select speed limits

I'm not sure I understand why you can't go past 35 mph in any of the raised modes. Even when I leave it in auto, and just select the next ride hieght up, the computer nanny tells me I have to stay under 35 to maintain that selection. You can't tell me that 1 notch up makes the truck so unstable at 55 or 65 mph that it would be dangerous. And what about when it's snowing and I'm going down the highway at 45 or 55 mph? the snow mode is unselectable.

Re: Height select speed limits

Even if you could, I doubt if you would enjoy the stiff ride.

Re: Height select speed limits

I have no problem with the ride quality at the Offroad 1 level.

I also really wish I had more control over the ride height. I'd keep her at Offroad 1 at speeds up to 55Mph. Above that, either NRH (Normal Ride Height) or Aero should be available. And Offroad 2 should be ab option up to at least 40-45Mph.

Re: Height select speed limits

I agree that the QL heights are speed limited, but I have used Snow mode at highway speeds and beyond with no nanny comments from the EVIC.

I don't know why you can't select Snow mode at those speeds - I'm not aware of speed limitations on the modes (other than Rock mode with 4 Low). To clarify though, with Snow mode the ride height is Normal Ride Height, not Off-road 1 (or 2).

Does snow mode automatically drop to Aero mode height?

My guess is the speed limit heights for level one are more to do with CAFE than specifically with vehicle high speed stability.

I also think level 1 should be available in snow mode above 35 mph through to even higher than 55 mph.

The ability to switch to snow mode at higher speeds may have to do with the drive train settings. Switching at those speeds may potentially cause problems, but I'm just guessing.
