I recently was towing a 7x9 box trailer and notice that the blind spot warning was coming on all the time with or without cars. I also noticed that cars coming in the opposite direction also set it off, where it normally would not.

I seem to remember that the factory tow package would deactivate or dumb down the system, has anyone else notice this ? I have a Mopar branded bar, but they are different to the USA bar.

I also had the same issue when I first connected my caravan for the first trip, we drove about 600km which concerned me a little as I expected it to work better.
Recently on a recent trip to Tarre (NSW) the blind spot work perfectly, as if I had nothing on the back. I have changed or adjusted anything.
Maybe it will sort it out it self, good luck.

The system will only respond to objects being in the way. So if you are driving and a oncoming car pass you, if they are close enough to you then it will set it off. Same as driving closely to a guard rail. I don't see a trailer setting off the system unless its a very wide trailer or you are turning.

The trailer is only small, and it was causing the Blindspot to false as it was going on both sides every 10 seconds. I have never had issues with oncoming cars causing it to false.
Weird thing is is was going off on straight road and curves. I guess the trailer being flat sided steel, was causing the radar to reflect off roadside objects confusing the system.
