Re: BC Racing coilovers are almost here!!

That's correct chad, a lot of guys are changing the fittings or just putting a plug in there to prevent the contact with the strut tower.

Re: CAI? Are there any good kits out yet for the 2012 Rig?

Call Bwoody. They have a true cold air intake that is about the same price as the hennesey one. Call them and talk to them directly they might work with you on the price.

Re: Powdercoating

IF it still shakes over 70mph you might need new lower control arm bushings, SRT's have had these going out and causing the vibes.

Re: Snowboard Rack

The wind fairing is not compatible with the snowcat since there is only a bar between the 2 rack portions.

Most of the centercaps are plastic and therefore cannot be powdercoated. You could either have them painted the same color or buy ones from billet technology and have them powdercoated.

Re: aftermarket tires-07' JGC SRT8

Or you could try to Continental Extreme Contact DWS(Dry, Wet, Snow) in 275/40 and 315/35. According to Tirerack they kick ass in the snow.

Your jeep is so slow that no one else knows your flooring it, they think you're just trying to keep up with their Geo.

Re: Warning to all getting their Wk2 exhaust done

Did you think of maybe putting higher flowing resonators in place of the stock ones? That might still create enough resistance to keep the valves from rattling. Just a thought.

Re: Its being reported that Mopar will allow tuning this fall

I believe it was superchargers not turbos.

I don't see them unlocking the tuning on the ECU's yet. Ralph Gilles explained why they keep them locked, to cut down on warranty costs.

Yeah I saw that on the other site too. They are dead set on keeping Black Ops from making money over there.

Interested to see how these ride compared to the K-sport garbage. Way to go Chad!

Re: Do not own a SRT8 Yet-live in the Northeast with snow and ice -Tire options?

They also have a non studded version, however Nokians are quite a bit pricier than Blizzacks.

Re: Torque Converter

There was a similar issue on the WK1 SRT8's, turned out to be the front lower control arm bushings. If the torque converter doesn't fix it I would have them check the bushings.

Re: Do not own a SRT8 Yet-live in the Northeast with snow and ice -Tire options?

What about Nokians? That's what I run and they are considered the "best" snow tire available.

Studded tires FTW!

Re: Do not own a SRT8 Yet-live in the Northeast with snow and ice -Tire options?

There are tons of options for snow tires on the jeep. As stated above you can get the 18" package from Tire rack, 20x9 replicas with 265/50, 275/45 or 275/40 or you can put a set of 275/40 or 45 on...

Re: Brakes Squeeking

Either cts-v rear pads or aftermarket rear pads. All SRT8's have squeaky brakes.
