power steering pump noise

jeep cranks sometimes and then finally starts
from time to time ive been getting in the jeep and it just cranks and then finaly it starts. i dont want this to leave me stranded on the road so any sugestions would help. im thinking maybe a crank...

all the fuses are good. im getting power back to the bulb its just its not sending it an intermittent signal its keeping the bulbs lite. is this a programing issue then?
