Not sure if anyone even has these yet, however if/when you do. Does the SAT have favorites and 30 minute replay for SAT? 730N RER doesn't however found out today the 430N RBZ does have favorites and replay for SAT. Thanks

I checked the jeep website but a manual is not available or posted yet for the 730N RHR and wk2jeeps I didnt see any mention..

If it is like other systems, SAT favorites are tags. When you save a song you are telling the system to alert you next time the song comes on.

I ordered an RHR manual yesterday. I'll update you when I get it.

Just like someone else said, it does t save the song only alerts you when the saves song is playing on another station.
I have the 730 pretty well figured out. If you have any other questions I might be able to answer.

kaflyboy,

Not to deviate too much from the thread, but since you have the 730RHR figured out, have you found any hidden VR commands for iPod? I have tried everything I know to see if there are any hidden commands that might let me VR a playlist, or an artist, or song, but nada.

I did find you don't have to say "select name" to choose a SAT station. Just press the VR button and say the station's name. The system will take you there; say for example "BPM" and off you go!

Hey Baxterdown-

On the iPod (in my case the iphone 4) i have not tested any voice commands for the playlists. my suspician is it will not detect your ipod playlists. I really dont listen to my ipod in my jeep, i mostly stream pandora, so this is probably the least tested part that i have messed with.. i'll try some tomorrow to see if i can get it to work and report back

Thanks! I do know it shows playlists. We use iPhone 4s but both have iPod Nanos that stay in the car for music. The RHR does display playlists, artists, song names, etc. But, it appears you cannot call them via VR.

Let me know if you find anything! :)

Had the 430 on my original Jeep, the car was replaced by Chrysler do to several defects and the new one has the 730 RHR... Better integration with the iPhone 4 the 430 did not work at all; the 430 did have better SAT reception the 730 drops out much more...

I have noticed "drop outs" here and there when listening to SAT radio. Since this is my first experience with SAT, is this normal?

Generally its an obstruction such as trees/bridges/tunnels. I have occasionally had it just "acquiring signal" in an open area however yes it is normal as it is not FM radio where air waves are all around it, no static for SAT it either has the signal or doesn't. Also make sure your software in the radio is up to date, one of the recent updates helps with "acquiring signal" issue if you have it often.

Thanks for the responses to my OP. I copied my music from my Ipod mini to the HDD but there are no playlists. Well it says there are playlists but in reality they are only the album or artist names. Do playlists only show if playing directly from the Ipod? I'll have to check on that. I know that I can't use the Ipod controls when it's plugged into the console USB so I'll play with the steering wheel and radio controls some more. I haven't spent much time using the Ipod directly but now I'm curious.
