i would check your laws on it for highway use, it would be no problem for off road use. but i know it would be illegal in PA. you are only allowed to have 4 forward facing lights on in most states.

 

what temp bulbs do you have in your projectors? i used to have 6000k and then swapped in the stock 4300k and it is soooo much brighter

 

They are illegal where I am. But I am not going to use them on roads where there are other cars. I will use them on back roads where there are no lights at all. And a local winter offroad area that is 15 miles of darkness lol. I have 8k in the projectors and fogs. They are very bright, just thought it would be cool to be supppper bright!

 

I want to do something custom, but the only thing I'm worried about is it making the visual aspect of the front look bad. I don't want to look at the front of jeep and have eye 3 lights stick out like a sore thumb.

 

I'd be interested to see how 3 look behind the grille. I have 2 Hellas behind mine. I upgrade the wiring and put in 100w bulbs. They are super bright. The grille doesn't seem to cutoff to much of the output either.

The kc light I have came stock with 100 watt bulbs. I want to do an hid conversion though.

I think it would be a lot less noticeable behind the srt grille. Or even put 2 coats of nightshades on. That defeats the purpose though lol

Lol! Now that would be hard to fit behind that grille. I'm thinking two on the second slits of the grille on either side then one in the middle.

 

How about 22 inch LED Bar right in the middle? Nice spot/flood pattern. I'm joking but that would be something I have not seen yet.

I had VHT on mine for a bit, but I only had the stock 55w bulbs. I took it off when I upgraded to 100w. It did hide them pretty well, but also did hinder the output.

 

I don't know if you considered the airflow or not as well. Two isn't so bad, but 3 may start to restrict

 

I'm not too worried about it on the v6. There will still be plenty of room for air to flow by the lights. And there is tons of room between engine and fan.

That goes well with the lights on the front. I think 3 on the jeep would just mess with the flow. You can tell a vehicle is a jeep by the arrangement of the grill and the headlights.

 

I've had a push bar on every other truck I've owned, but I like the nose of the Jeep by itself. The only protector I've seen that I like is the 4x, but still without the upper hoop, and so I've also thought about putting lights behind the grille.

OK it actually looks good on your truck, but I think it's because the color. The one I saw on a white truck I didn't like. I think I would have it powdercoated white probably, and chrome just the upper hoop.

I say do it. But from your sneek peek, I would just do two in those locations, one on each side in the second from the outer grille opening, with none in the middle.

 

I gotta say I agree with the majority saying that 3 up front is just too much..
Agree with mTBrunner in the sense that it throws off the shape and flow of the Jeeps front end.. it looked good on the Taco but it suited the stock light shape and form of the front end/grill.. i think it being a pickup helps it as well for some reason (in my mind, at least)

Agree with Mosier with just adding one to the opposite second opening of the grill.. and leaving the middle alone.. it just fits the flow of the front end WAY better..

look at your example image.. you have your headlamps offset wide, the fogs underneath.. and then you would have the two in the grill with the plate in between.. a nice juxtapositon.
Aesthetically speaking... it just looks better to go with 2 and if you are converting them to be bright HIDs, the two will provide plenty of output,even through that SRT grill, IMO.

 

Ok guys I have decided thanks to you that I should just put two lights in the 2 first slits of the grille. These will be converted to hid either 55 or 35 watt 6000k. I think it looks good with the srt grille and 2 lights behind it. 3 would be too much.

 

I think that will look good, and you will have plenty of light.
